  1. A rebuild of BB or some more features on Cascade for the weekend would be nice.
  2. It is amazing how different it is then when you hike / skin to earn your turns instead of just lapping lifts. Changes your entire mind set about the sport in general.
  3. The faces have abrupt transitions on them. Instead of being a smooth, consistent transition they go from mellow to steep right before the lip. It was causing a lot of people to backseat the jump and eat it. And the landings didn't really work with the how the jumps sent you. They are too short and steep.
  4. Who lets their 5 year old ride the lift alone? Idiot.
  5. Definitely agree about the jumps in BB. People were eating it off them all day on Sat. I saw at least on person getting a ski patrol sled ride down from the first one. Hip in Cascade is a lot of fun and the rest of BB was hitting pretty good as well.
  6. Rode open to 2 on Friday. Snow was good for Blue and it held up until around 11 or 12 or so when it started to get scrapped. Weather was all over the place...sun, clouds, full on white out for about 10 mins. Lower park setup was fun with the rollers in the 3 rail lines. No clue why the opened lower Sidewinder without letting it setup a bit. 15 mins after the groomer pulled off they dropped the ropes. Not smart at all...it turned to shit instantly. Lower section of Come Around park was really fun, upper section could have used a couple more or different features. Two bad things. Lift guy working the 6 pack got smashed in the head by a large chuck of ice sliding off the top of the lift. Dropped him immediately to the ground and he was down for a while. And Slopeside Bar drinks are expensive and their craft taps weren't working. Over all a pretty fun day.
  7. Cool man glad to hear it. I'm fine with expert stuff now that the other parks are open. The multiple hits into some of the rails was definitely nice to see and made for some fun options. One thing I'd love to see again is an up - flat - down setup.. There was one a few years ago made out of 3 of the box rails and it was a ton of fun.
  8. Looks like there will be some lower park setup for Friday. "Yeti w/features tomorrow afternoon, Terrain Run w/features for Friday & Central Park as a trail this wknd" Just realized MMR day off at the slopes is at JF tomorrow, so I guess I'll be hitting Blue up.
  9. Fun mountain when its not crowded. Interesting terrain for PA. Fire pits.
  10. I know they aren't open today...but when I spoke to someone up there the other day they said they were going to try and have something by mid to late week. So just trying to see if they are blowing / building anything on there yet.
  11. Let me know if they setup any features on the lower parks. Haven't decided on Friday yet or not but if they get something setup on central or terrain I'm in.
  12. I used to work there in the summers when I was in high school. Place was a death trap...but awesome lol. Probably every 20 minutes someone would come off the alpine slide bleeding. People would get broke off on the rope swing by not going out far enough. And bikini tops would pop off left and right on the water slides. So many great memories lol.
  13. I hope they get this turned around this year. You are right, last year was a bunch of easy stuff or weird advance stuff. And the jumps were either tiny or huge...no in between. It would be nice to get back to how the park was back like 5 years ago. All / most jumps having two sized hits and a nice spread of options in both parks.
  14. I wish I could like this post more than once.
  15. None of those are beginner / low level intermediate features except maybe the candy cane but even that was set kind of high for that. Not a single box or flat rail. Propane tank would have been fine if it was a single tank not a kicked out double. It just wasn't a good selection of features for only having one park open.
  16. Will Sidewinder be open by then?
  17. Which is fine when the other parks are open and have features. When it is the only park open, like it was for awhile, then it should have a bit of everything.
  18. They should have blacks...but no double blacks.
  19. When it isn't crowded it is a fun mountain. Snow is usually good. Only a couple steeps, but some nice long fun blue cruisers and an excellent park. When they get a bunch of snow there are some really fun trees on Granite Peak if you know where to find them. Cabriolet is annoying because they cram a shit load people on it.
  20. Not yet. But I'll probably ride a day there in a few weeks if I can get out during the week when I go visit my family up there. No way I'm riding there on a weekend...it makes Blue on a weekend look empty.
  21. Bottom / advanced trails are the north face.
  22. Not difficult at all to get between the lifts if you want to go from bottom all the way up. Montage is definitely a fun place to ride and its hard to beat for the price with some of the specials they run. They have stepped up the quality of their park in recent years as well.
  23. How is the park setup at JF? Going to be up that way for work on Friday and with Blue only having their little park open I might hit up JF instead.
  24. Hopefully with the cold they can hammer it out for Friday. I gotta be up that way for work and I have a voucher to use. at least I ride the places I complain about.
