sibhusky Posted March 12, 2009 Author Report Share Posted March 12, 2009 the one with the clouds from the 20th i think is soooo sick.It's what is called an inversion when the cold air (and the accompanying clouds/fog) slides down into the valley and the warmer air is at higher elevations. Usually it'll be totally clear on the mountain on those days, but occasionally it's more like a "parfait" where you descend into clouds, out of them, then back into them again. It's nice because the people from out of town who stay in town think it's a miserable day up on the mountain and they decide not to ski, while we're up there soaking up the rays.
