Here we go again.

So you got it, DH? Even someone who doesn't give a crap about racing understands that posting a nationality in a header is posting a result?

Just to be a asshole to me, 1st Grade makes PASR a place no serious racer will ever want to check out. Everyone that follows the World Cup knew that Lindsey and Julia had great start numbers for that track (26 and 29), which gave them a great shot at a podium.

So is there a mod or admin that cares to fix the problem? It's 1st Grade or any hope of having racers around...I tried to ask him nicely and it doesn't work.

To be quite honest I think both of you are blowing things out of proportion. FGT could stop with the thinly-veiled titles and you could try to ignore it, but I doubt either of those are going to happen any time soon :/

People pay for a service that he is purposely spoiling. You think my asking him to stop is blowing it out of proportion? He's now done it three straight weeks.

Interesting that you don't find it a dickhead thing to do.

I'd say you've done a little more than "ask him to stop."

I never said that much. I think it's ridiculous that he continues to do it but your reactions are just fanning the fire. I'm pretty surprised that there hasn't been any administrative action against him creating threads like this.

Just to get the facts straight, DH...the first time he did it, I asked him relatively nicely. The second time, I called him names. Then, we seemed to work it out, until---out of the blue---he posts "game back on" like a fucking psycho.

He's made it clear that he will not stop. He made it clear that nobody can stop him. Next time some idiot keeps poking you, remember to just enjoy it and not flame any fires. Yeah, that'll work.

BTW, I was just told by an admin that 1st Grade is welcome to continue to post results in headers. He wins. Racers will just avoid the MB Fri through Sunday. No big deal.

Are you kidding me? I post " Another American on the Podium" and that pisses you off? I actually thought that would be to YOUR standards. I guess there is no pleasing you. I said I wouldn't post results in the title and I lived up to it but your still pissed.

I already know that you know there is a mens and womens US team and that there are several people on each team. There are also 3 spots on each podium so declaring that an American was on the podium couldn't have ruined it for you! From what I wrote, there is no way you knew Kildow got 2nd unless you opened the post. I don't want to argue about this one because it's obvious you will react negatively to anything I post about racing.

Everyone take the poll I added and let's see how people really feel about it. Fair?

I think the fix is in since there are only 10 votes and the score is 28 to 4. Hanging chads don't count!

i really dont know much about racing... so how is the American race team? i've heard both good and bad thing about the program.

The women are in great battle for the Overall Cup...Mancuso is 3rd and Kildow is 5th...they are sandwiched by four Austrians, who are 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 6th. There's a great chance Mancuso will take the title. The US women were expected to be a little deeper, but Resi Steigler just hasn't regained confidence from an injury. She's my favorite behind, Austrian Hosp. Resi skied in the Slush Cup last spring at Elk---she had to hike for a gate. She's barely hanging on to the top 30...

There are no men running away with the Overall....Svindal and oldtimer Didier Cuche are 1-2, with Bode hanging on to third. Overall favorite Benny Raich is 5th, while Maier is 12. Ted Ligety has been disappointing, currently in 11th. Right now, the popularity is on the women's side...no star has emerged this year and people are sick of Bode's crap...that's from the Euro press, not me.

All in all, the US women are equal to the Austrians...the US men are just flat and seem to be missing something. I thought US DH specialist Steve Nyman would have had a great year, but he seems to make two mistakes on every course. If Bode can stay on his feet in slalom, he'll take the title...but every race, he just doesn't hold it together. Luckily, though, the rest of the field has struggled with horrible conditions in Europe, too.

Just my 2 cents.

so i dont understand whats so terrible about posting who won a race in the title of the thread? if somebody had posted in the park and pipe forum that tanner hall won x games pipe (even though he shouldnt have) and i saw that, i dont see why its a problem?

WC Racing is only available for viewing through a paid online subscription. So while the XGames is available for everyone's digest on ESPN, the broadcasting of WC races is slightly delayed, and costs money, so those who pay don't want to know who won ahead of time.

but you would be finding out sooner... i would be happy about that.

You can "watch" as the times are posted live at http://www.fis-ski.com

There's a link to a live timing site on the right side of the main page for alpine racing.

Finding out results of World Cup results is easy...and so is avoiding them, except for what was happening here. The person was just going to http://www.skiracing.com or Eurosport.com and cutting and pasting results that the person actually couldn't care less about. It was being done as a way to piss a particular person off.

If the X Games were held at 9am, but you were getting a delayed feed at 1pm, wouldn't it suck if someone just started posting "Tanner Hall Wins" in headers?

If anyone on here really cares about World Cup race results, I'll happily post a dozen links to all the result pages and fan pages I have on my one computer. But I'm pretty sure than anyone that really cares about WC racing already has them.

I honestly don't think anyone on PASR bought into the idea that a particular poster was doing it as a public service. Hopefully, the issue is dead. If that poster really wants to discuss World Cup racing in the future, then that's great. I don't hold a grudge for stupid stuff like that...
