  1. Killington, Stratton, Mount Snow are about 5 hours and what your looking for. I recommend killington since it's huge and you've never been there. Also you can get a cheap room for like $40 in rutland to ease the travel time.
  2. I wax about every 3 or 4 times out on the board so basicly once a week and mor often if I feel I need it. It's hard to avoid the mess, maybe do it outside or lay newspaper don inside to catch your scrapeings

Get a 4 wheel or all wheel drive I wish we got snow like VT and every house also has a snowmobile in the driveway for when ya gotta run out in a storm
  4. Let it snow let it snow let it snow
  5. Im no pro, I just started hot waxing my boards myself last season. All I do is drip in a zigzag down the length of the board iron it slowly nice and evenly. Then I scrape all the wax I can off after letting it sit for about 30 min and run a real fine brilo pad type sponge over it a few times to smooth things out and it's been working great for me. Never heard about the "lint free paper tower" thing, I doubt most ski shops even bother with that.

Without a doubt snowmaking will be back in force in the Poconos to get as much as possible open for Christmas week. Imagine how bad it would be if Camelback didn't get the other quad going and blue didn't get the 6 pack going by Christmas week. Everyones going to do everything they can to get things going to prep for the crowds.
  7. Nice shots, groomers got a lot of work to do.

  14. I would imagine there would be almost anywhere.
  15. I will most likly be parked at the Sunbowl since it's a better safety meeting spot, should be less people to have to shout over. They need to open the Stevenson soon so I can park in my home spot
  16. Stupid phone lines are busy and they're closing soon. I'm assuming no since they didn't last year but thats when they opened with Rhodo only so who knows. I'll find out first thing saturday and get it before a line forms if it is required.

Not sure if park passes will be required im calling now to see and if they're available before opening day. I'll call ya when I pull into the parking lot there since theres no cell service issues like there was at Stowe. I'm meeting with up with some local friends for first trax if I can get my ass up which I must! I will probably pull an all night on pstars and stay up or only sleep a few hours so I can fall aleep early friday lol.
  18. Frigid early, but than it will hit 30 and sunny by the afternoon. Maybe the frigidness friday night will call for some man made pow conditioning!!
