  1. Go to YouTube and look up Yellowstone and your bound to see someone getting too close to a bison…
  2. I second the motion lol thanks for the info and stay safe out there! 🙏 I know Calgary has a stampede. Festival in July but it looks like a million people crammed into a sardine can
  3. @sibhusky If you dont mind me asking, what sort of offseason (as in non - ski season) outdoor activities do you get involved in? I would imagine the summers are amazing and very beautiful there, Minus the tourists around Glacier Park. Whether up in MT or WY I someday want to head out and do one of those day long horse ride tours.... #rawhide
  4. This was one of the trailhead bus stops half way up BCC. Whole lotta snow lol i heard people downstream are already prepping sandbags and whatever else needed for the flooding soon to come when it starts melting.
  5. I am home tonight. Hung out with friends in SLC and did a little city tour. I was pretty exhausted Friday was pretty crazy at Solitude. Hitchhiked up BCC and was in lift line at 830. From like 10am to 1pm it snowed so darn heavy. Approx. 1pm word was going around that BCC road was closed because it slid and had to get cleared. Then shortly later that Alta and Bird were forced into Interlodge and LCC would be closed through evening. BCC reopened around 345pm. Probably the heaviest snowfall day I ever experienced. Had a blast at all the ski areas I visited. Definitely will be back…
  6. Sunday is my travel day 😢 Thank you for offer! 👍 Have to get there next winter for sure.
  7. Awesome terrain and snow at Snowbird.
  8. I am at Snowbird today. First time here. Hopefully some good footage to come …. ITS DEEP!!!
  9. Free refills all day and no lift lines all afternoon
  10. Solitude this am in one pic powder wheelies galore!!!!!
  11. Sorry @PSUFly I don’t want to poach your trip thread. The sun appeared fur like 30 minutes 1pm-ish and I took a little walk These two were digging out the magic carpet.
  12. I was at Solitude today. I saw a posting that LCC was going to be closed overnight so header up here today. I think they reported 6” overnight. I guess he storm train is too much too keep up with. Half of Honeycomb was roped off. still had a fun day. At lunch it was sunny and then shortly thereafter the skies opened. heard a few booms but it wasn’t the same as Avy control During that heavy squall lightning hit at Snowbird
  13. This is from a Tahoe friend who got it from somewhere else … Palisades Tahoe this morning 😢
  14. Great photos (and terrain) and sounds like a great family vacation! Another place I have to find my way to someday ...

  16. One of these days I going to find my way here...
  17. from ski jump to bobsled track (in Olin Mark skis) can always count on 007 … https://youtu.be/CUuMjlK22vs
  18. Thanks. The mountain received 8” fresh yesterday and you could see tracks today over on Cody from peak webcam. Those are the brave folks. It’s one thing to hike up an existing boot pack and another to set it yourself after snowfall. Are you going out there? I have loved everyday I been there regardless of conditions.
  19. First off - everyone in the group was pinging (beacons) and had shovels/probes and back country training. I was least experienced of group. As beautiful as Cody Peak is it’s no joke back there. You can see slide debris in some of these pics and earlier today read a story about two guys from SLC who went out a gate during the storm Jan 28 and didn’t get rescued til almost midnight. https://www.jhnewsandguide.com/news/cops_courts/rescued-skier-no-excuse-for-bad-decisions/article_7a8c4bf6-793b-58e4-86ca-abdca9587f93.html Crew was hoping to go get a look at a line called Four Shadows (red circle) or perhaps No Shadows (yellow circle). So the exit gate is far right on a Rendevous Bowl so you need to stay on the high traverse which usually has a bunch of tracks. We hiked up to the purple circle area and decent wind gust hit us. Stayed there a few mins and after a few more gusts the group bailed on the Shadow lines and went for easier Powder 8s. Local intel all said not a good hike when the ridge line is windy. So just drop down into there and there is a well established boot pack. Below pic2 purple circle you can see slide debris fur early week. Boot pack was pretty set but still a few spots you could get hip deep into snow. (Pic red line) Moved pretty good through that. The final climb was not to bad but I don’t think I could have gone further that day. I try to take pics and just my luck another wind gust starts and blew snow all around making pics foggy looking. Snow here was best snow all week. It’s was tracked out for sure but still a lot of fun. I should have had done pics down in Rock Springs area just below but I guess that will have to wait for a future trip So be nice steep pitches and features to try down in there That area also waa very tracked but it was easy fo get back in bounds at Lower Hobacks. Total time was about 3 1/2 hrs Took a long break before final hike. Worth it? I think so, such a beautiful day and good snow out there. I don’t think I would ever consider going out there in poor viability or weather.
  20. This was Feb 2. Another Headwall hike over to Casper into Beartooth. And always ❤️ a pic of Grand Teton
  21. Crew who was there. my apologies I got roped into some work b*llsh*t Monday afternoon and went right back to town so they would not bug me rest of week. Yea Monday morning was about as cold as I ever seen it as long as I kept moving I was ok. These pics are from Headwall hike over to Casper into a line called Fremont Loved it, nice sustained pitch.
