  1. I wish, and again, I wish. 121 race points with an 81 point penatly. I'm at 212 now, and thats 202. So it will help a little. I'm trying to get them under 200. Ohh yeah, I also managed to break the inside lense on my goggles. Not sure how you break that without breaking the outside one too, but who knows...
  2. Method, that sucks man. I hope you get better real soon!!!
  3. Saturday and Sunday were SL PA Cups at Tussey. For anyone who has never had the pleasure of going there, its about 400-450 vert, 2ish runs off the top, and seems to be windy, always. The weather was chilly on saturday (high of around 18 and breezy) and cold on sunday (high of about 10, and windy). There course starts with a headwall (8-9 gates) then a flat (10 gates) then another headwall (8 gates) then a flat stretch to the finish. They set some pretty fun courses to ski. Saturday they apparently had run away gatekeepers who took the tickets and disappeared. So that delayed the race for a while. We ran, I had a slight shinguard malfunction (need more ducttape ) but finished 20th (about 80 guys). Second run I skied a little better (ducttaped my shinguards to my leg). I ended up finishing 20th overall, but had a faster second run than first, when most of the top guys had a slower second run. I had the top CB guys finish (which may or may not be a good thing...) Today first run was set similar to yesterdays second run. Can anyone say crankers out of the hairpins? (For what that means to anyone...) I was 19th after first run, so I was starting second run 10th. I finanlly get a good run going 2nd run, really attacking the course, driving down the hill. At the bottom, there was a hairpin, two gates, and another hairpin, which I was trying to set up for. Ending up hooking a tip entering the hairpin, loosing a ski, rolling over the double gates in the hairpin, and hitting a bamboo outside gate, and slamming my head somewhere along the line. I slid off the course, and when I looked up and was seeing what was going on, I saw like 4 guys all running over to me. I was trying to figure out if I was ok, (apparently along with everyone who was coming over), and felt like I had no major issues, but lots of pain. And I hope thats the end of the story, but it hurts to walk now, and I'm not all too sure about the details of the crash, because I'm just going on what people told me. I was told that it was the best crash anyone saw all weekend, and random people who I never saw before were coming up to me inside and asking if I was alright. Anyway like I said, I'm hoping thats the end of the story... I love freezing my balls off to slide down the hill!!
  4. I hope so
  5. He coached last year. He is pretty chill now. I know coaches that have forgoten to show up at races...lol
  6. When I'm around..Which won't be this weekend (out at Tussey) But whenever I'm around I'll probably be the one doing it...
  7. Twas a fun day. First two runs were in softer snow. Then we slipped, went in for lunch, and came back out and skied the same course for 3 more runs. In the afternoon it was better because it was hardpack, not soft snow. It was on BC's new Nastar hill, which is one trail to the skiers left of where it was last year. Its much wider, and they will be running duals this year. Running from the same start as last year, but going down almost to the lift, so the run was about 27-28 second par time...Pretty flippin long for Nastar. On my last run I punched a flag while I was skating, which screwed up my focus, but the course was still holding up pretty nice (pushing about 200 runs). Mike Snyder, a Camelback coach finished about .3 seconds before me, with the top time (I'm not counting AJ Kitt, cause no one knows how he went so fast ) Deffinatly a good day BC race crew did a great job setting up the course and running it, and Nastar/BC had a nice reception for everyone after the race (FREE BEER)...for those who were old enough...lol

    Under Armour

What about a doo rag for my head? I know dougy wears them
  9. Yes, but how many racers ski like free stylers, and how many free stylers ski like racers? Sure there are exceptions. Either way all I am saying is I do believe the guy who hit me to be a freestyle skier (take that how you want to). He was on Twintips and skied with his legs togther...
  10. Not sure, but every other year they just used the Nastar area. Trail is full width, so there shouldn't be any issue keeping it open.
  11. The way they ski. If you put a park rat, racer, and ski patroler in the same jacket, don't you think you could tell who did what?
  12. Although for as long as I have been skiing, I am still going to say he was a free styler. Not a very good one, but I am still willing to put my money on him spending atleast 1/2 his time in the park (By the way he skied)...
  13. Grumble grumble maybe it was just a guy who bent both his tails from bombing down trails in the back seat. But they were '07 K2s Fugatives and he was probably 17-20 ish...
  14. I have been using some of his warm wax as a base layer, and some of his cheaper fluoro waxes before I go out, and it working out real well. I think they glide better than the swix (which I was using before). Also there deffinatly cheaper Good Stuff Dr. D!!!
  15. Saturday night I got taken outtt by a twintipper on the bottom of margies. Arcing back and forth on the bottom section (under the lift) and someone comes up and gets me from behind on the outside of my turn (I think you actully have to try to hit someone on the outside of there turn). We both went down, and slid quite a bit (I wasn't going slow, and he was straight lining, as I saw the tracks from the lift). If you were the a$$ I want another GS pole
  16. I'm not a park rat, but came about 3 inches from taking some boarder out who was sitting on the back side of one of the big jumps at frost. Stupid ass was sitting there when I went up the lift and looked over. And for the record, that was first run, I didn't hit the jump, just went over the roller it was sitting on to look, near the middle of it, and hes 3 feet below the 'lip' of the roller, so when you see him, your right there..
  17. I'm gonna get the first ride through it... And by first ride I mean I may or may not ride it tomorrow....Looks decent, but I'm a fan of the 5-6 foot walls

How is that trail? Theres a race there in Feb that I might go to (assuming they push back the deadline a month, condering the race was pushed back a month). I don't remember how that trail skied, but I would love a SL down white lightning
  19. Problem with midday grooming is the snow doesn't have any time to set up. Most of the days you really want them to groom in the afternoon its sugary. And all their doing is knocking down the bumps but it will just get tracked up a few runs later. Snow needs at least a few hours to be decent (hard insted of sugary) for any amount of time. I can count the times on one hand that I have seen groomers moving on trails at CB when they were open...

    Nastar

Haha. Between the three guys going from CB, hopefully one of them is around every weekend
  21. I ate a light lunch that day, because of what I heard from the lifties
  22. I don't think Keith throws on the instructors jacket anymore...But I could be wrong on that. Hes a real good coach.

Pacesetting trials are next Thurs (Feb 1st) at BC...Things should be better after that if they send people. CB is sending 3 I believe...
