I'm sure jeff does...He just needs to take them from under his pillow or something <<closest icon I could get to what jeff does with his atomic pictures

    Stone grind

Remember Jeff...its just the first few inches of the ski...
  4. Jeff you should use your real name too

Jeff thats not completly true. They are convex because the way the channels go in the ski, its just the way they are made.

You dislike every tuning job you ever get that is different from the way I tune the skis... Unless you tell the shop the exact way you want your skis done, they won't be done how you want them...>Gotta tell em

A few of the very good people at CB have seemed to disappear...Mark blew out his ACL and did something to his wrist in a race, so he had to get an operation, and was out for the season. And Tom wanted to "see his kid more" What a loser Will is a nice guy, and would probably be my next choice. They also have a pretty good stone grinder at CB..however I think there closed for the season. As far as when it is time to get your skis ground, if they base is not flat (excluding atomics) then you should have them ground. One of my volkls is base high and edge high at the same time, the other is just a little base high as I recall...That is something I can tell just by looking at them. However if you have a truebar you should be able to hold it to your ski and see if its flat. Atomics are a little convex (or is it concave?) (edge high) at the tips of them, and I think that the warenty is void if you have them stoneground, so I wouldn't try to remove it...

Don't think they are either...Maybe the loft can do it. I need a place to get my Volkls ground too...So if you find a place, let me know.
  9. He was back...
  10. I do believe D$ is willing to give Tanner a pair of DH skis, and SKIING Mag will fly him to the race....All tanner has to do is say yes
  11. Can we uhh get a little more clarification here...Thanks, we all want to know
  12. Now Glenn...What if there is a slight incline before the headwall
  13. Ahhh
  14. Hunter is not the same as belleyare or windham....but i thought jeff did say he was gonig to bell....who knows
  15. At Snowbasin for the 2002 olympics they took fire hoses (probably similar to snowmaking hoses) and covered the trail with water. Insted of Utahs usual 10% water content in the snow it was about 65-70% water. Mmmm nice and fast
  16. Both about the same when they have about 2 trails open. Windham might have a highspeed quad going tho...
  17. That you have? Wouldn't dad and son have the same speed connection?
  18. And I thought you never used math
  19. I was uhh thinking the same thing
  20. Maybe Ski999 has a better idea of how far they go in a Downhill race...But if you hit a jump at 80mph....
  21. Big air.... Pic hosted by www.bodelicious.net My Guess is Bode is sailing past 200' at that moment
  22. I haave a pair of Crossmax 10s for rock skis....There not bad...Get a bit hairy at speed, anyway Jeff I don't think its a good idea to take stiff race skis as rock skis...Atleast for me rock skis end up in glades, and I can tell you....Taking GS race skis in trees has bad idea written all over it....
  23. 2005 is the year...That would mean they don't open until 2006 since they closed for the year....
  24. Sib I am hoping he shows up....Even if he doesn't it will still be a great race. Ski...Don't really recall Ligety's style...But you know I will be watching them.
