I would second Ski999 saying white lightning is the steepest trail in PA.... If they blow on Hump a certain way, you can get a cliff in the middle, making it steeper, but that is only for about 15 feet... White lightning has a nice long pitch...Good stuff.

Who is going to be around at CB this sunday? I will have training but will probably be able to take some runs around 1130ish. Also assuming Jeff doesn't come up with any more excuses, I would say we should all run Nastar once or twice...Least me and him
-
With 80 mile an hr gusts...It doesn't matter what you are riding on...You would get blown around at the top, and deffinatly wouldn't go anywhere where the wind wasn't blowing
-
I think it would come down to liablity. Since at camelback (and most PA places) give you an 'area use ticket' insted of a 'lift ticket'. Anyway if you are anywhere on there property, and say break your leg...>No one goes up that trail to check since the lift isn't on....You freeze to death, etc, etc, they get sued..... You know how it goes. Anyway I am sure as an employee you are supposed to be a 'roll modle' to the other people, and not do stuff like that. But I'm not sure...
-
zaldon, I will have to see if you can actully do that. I have a kyrptonite lock, and I will bring it on the lift with me sometime...See if you can get it in the 3-4 minute ride...Theres only uhhh like 9999 combinations

Is that why you have the orange helmet...Because you are so fast it is just burning up
-
Jeff...You are saying whats wrong with there park...If you used the stuff (more than once a month or so) you would probably know. I don't spend a lot of time in any parks around here, cause they all seem really crappy. Then again I don't spend much time in parks out west..cause I don't want to pee myself

WOOOT SiBBY JR. Give her my best, and tell her to uhh ski fast...err really fast
-
Yes, but if they guy has to think about it..."Hmm I think you missed it, nooo you can go, umm actully hike up) etc, then he is wasting my time, which is screwing me over...therefore I am going to try and get a rerun. After all even if you don't get a rerun, being a good 15 seconds behind the back of the pack of people, that won't help you at all.
-
He didn't even know...But I was thinking if he didn't see, and I stopped, then went down he would have assumed I missed a gate...Which now that I think of, he still wouldn't know what gate. Either way he didn't say anything to me. I was told by Mr. March that if something like that happens, you should ski over to the gate keeper, and tell him your bib number, and that you weren't sure if you missed a gate or not, and since he (gatekeeper) wasn't clear about what you had to do, then you are taking a rerun....Its probably worth a try if it happens again...as you are pretty much out of a race from when you stop.

I thought you needed atleast one top 30 finish in all 4 races...

I carry 2 pairs of skis out of CB all the time...But I usually go the backway in and out (next to the ski patrol room), and if I did get stopped, it wouldn't even be a problem, cause I have the boot that fits both the bindings of the skis...And if it got really bad I could just get Gus to say they were my skis. Anyway I guess boards could be harder to tell, since any boot can go with any board.

As you guys know Missy DNFed (did no finish) her run yesterday, and didn't start today. Yesterday I finished 34th...I was going for a 30th place so I wasn't too happy, but ehh what can ya do. Today I was having a pretty good run, and I strattled (or think I strattled) the 2nd gate in a flush. So by the time I stopped and looked at the gatekeeper (who was clueless) then hiked back up and started down again...well it was a good 15ish seconds...Which really only did one thing...Put me in DFL for the first run... Uhh if you don't know what that means...dead ****ing last. Anyway I guess now I just need to ski faster at blue. Ohh and uhhh stupid gatekeepers
-
Uhh Jeff....There was our race...So I think if they had the desire to set it up and slip it a good 200 times...It would have been good to go.
-
Gurp, I'm just screwing around with you. I guess its just what they are told to do by there boss (just like the lifties are told not to let people up on holiday weekends with the 'wrong' pass).
-
Sorry, just had to do that It does seem kinda screwed up tho...
-
Haha, atleast he didn't lose the board, and that SOB is getting what he deserves.
-
Dad is going out....Come to think of it, last I knew my dad and your dad were going to ski together...But idk if that was just a rumor or not.
-
It just doesn't work when your mother puts you second...and you have to remind her.... Ehh I guess I will blame it on the oldtimer's disease
-
I feel so loved by everyone...Especailly my mom
-
Thats the uhhh the umm additude you want to have going into a race.
-
Ummm I only weigh like 165-170...So I think that alone seperates the 2 of us...And uhh I ski fast Anyway I was just saying a general rule of thumb...The first day a trail opens (after snowmaking) wether it is at CB, blue, BB, JF, Elk, Hunter, Etc it will have a ton of tennis ball sized chunks of snow/ice/crap that are awful to try and get any angles on. And we need more snow, I agree
