    The rant

Ok before I start let me say this...If you like Blue...great for you, have fun, stay in your hole, and don't come to my mountain. If it makes you happy, thats great for you. Lets see.... Lines: Geeze I didn't know that lines could be that long. For the quad...I waited longer in the SKI SCHOOL line at blue then I do in the REGULAR line at camelback (singles, or groups) Even when the line doesn't look that long you can multiply your time waiting by about 7 times as much, because that is how many lines wait to get uhh called on by the lifty (or whatever you call it). Doubles: holy frigging crap...I don't know how long it takes to wait in that doubles line (and no i was not about to find out)...I am talking about the double that goes from mid way up the mt. to above the top lodge (green color i think). That looked to be about a 45 minute wait...For a double that goes midway up the mountain. I could go to CB and ski the marc chair, or the cleo chair on a busy day and NOT WAIT AT ALL!!! Not even sure where the other lifts were, but I am sure they had just as long of a line. Condtions: Both days the trails I was on had a lot of death cookies (golf/tennis ball sized chunks of snow/ice that are a b*tch to try and get edge angle on). Last year challenge was covered in them, but it was the day after snowmaking and opening the trail, so I didn't say anything about it...This year it was about 1/2 covered in them both days, with no recent snowmaking...How does that work, i don't know. Lifts: Who designed there lifts there? The quad that services about 4 tails without hiking across the mountain....Yet all the trails dump out at the quad...Which is real great for the amount of people going on it. Didn't pay much attention to the other lifts because the lines were too long to even think about getting on them and not ending up where I wanted to go. Tiny @ss lodge: Have you ever seen that commercail for f*d-ex/kinkos (i think) where the guy has to take werid steps to manuver around everything...Well maybe you haven't but that is the way I felt in the lodge. Ok so the lodge isn't that big of a deal, but hey, i didn't want to have to hike all the way to my car (which was far away due to the weird parking lot that loopes around or something, but that is besides the point) to eat lunch. There were so many people in there I couldn't walk up the steps (because there were about 10 people sitting on them) to get to my bag. Ski partol that skied over my skis: Uhh probably enough said there...In the lift line they walked right over my skis...NEVER had that happen skiing at camelback for probably 200+ days of skiing there...Yet on my 10th or so at Blue it happened...Hmm Getting from the quad to the lodge: Ehh thats always fun...But uhh I don't like to hike, and hike, and stop, and hike a little more. Ok Jeff, I am SURE this was the one weekend a year with long lines, or something like that...but the truth is...It is just like EVERY other time I was at blue...So I guess I will see ya there again next year if they are hosting a PA cup, if not, maybe it will be 2 years. Have fun at your crappy mountain...And I will have fun at my not crappy mountain As I have said before...Now I remember why I put up with the CB management. A side note....Due to very warm tempuaters, I couldn't tell how much hardpack/ice/ other stuff like that there was becasue it was too warm for that stuff. And I didn't buy any food, partly cause I didn't want to wait in a freaking long line, and partly because I didn't want to wait in a freaking long line I guess I could say Blue is the Hunter of PA...One lift (one quad) and just a few 'runs'...even tho they have 30-50 trails...Seems like they have about 5. Well have fun at blue guys
  3. Doesn't look like there is too much to ski on that is not already a trail....

Jeff if you are going to ski at a mountain until 11am thats cool...But don't think you know what the trails would be like in the afternoon, or what the lines get to be like (personally I like to ski, and not wait in a lift line)....Just wait a little my friend, and the rant will come.

Jeff I will put my whole rant about blue later today...but ahh all i need is 1 day there a season to remind me why I put up with the CB management. Yes...it was really that bad. Saturday was worse than sunday too....anyway i will save the rant until later...
  6. They have that billboard in a few places...I just don't forget where. Didn't montage use that one at one point? Geeze its about the worst thing I have ever heard. Anyway it might be for the snowtubing tho...(picture of a tuber in the backround)

Ski...Check your PM's... Anyway I should have thought about it...Earlier this week I had a sore throwt (ehh sp???) but w/e that wasn't so bad. But I could hardly get out of bed and get dressed yesterday and today. It took me like 15 minutes to get ready today, it usually takes me less than 3...You do that math on that one. Anyway hopefully I will be at JF...and If I am there....I am going to kick some @$$

The rumor is that no one is supposed to go to that...But I am probably going to go anyway...Cause I need to qualify....Assuming they hold the race and all (with the warm week coming)

    off the trail

Well he would have went straigh threw the 1 tree, and right into the fence (seperating hump and kingtut). Man were you hauling then...I was watching and I was just hoping that you didn't catch an edge...>That would have gotten real ugly.

Ugh, I felt as well as I skied, and I skied as well as I felt...And I feel like a pile of dog sh*t. That is about all the explaining that needs to be done. I have had a little cold the last few days, but it seems like it got a lot worse saturday and today. And I was freaking out of it. The one time a year I get sick....has to be at my race. And uhh btw, its cool to skid your turns....ALL your turns

Ski....I think I am shooting for top 25 both days. Anyway I will hit up CB tonight assuming mum can sneak out of work and take some runs up there. I am hoping that blue will set a true GS course, and none of the cr@p we had at mountain creek, which was pretty much a Nastar.
  12. There are some hiking/biking trails in the summer to the left (looking up at the mountain), but they are all on state land, and deffinatly would need to be widened A LOT before skiers could get down them with out killing themselves.
  13. Well they haven't come out with a new summer ride...Or even had mention of one yet...>Which is a good thing. I guess it would be some time in summer they would say if they were cutting more trails. However I don't think they can easily cut more trails since they don't really own the land that they would be cutting on. I guess we will have to wait and see....
  14. Jeff almost every post you make in the forum has some refrence to blue being better than CB. Just think about that next time you are posting in this forum. I hardly read any posts in the blue forum, just so I don't end up whoring CB stuff all around there.
  15. Ski...I think that start wand it a little too high...Isn't it supposed to come inbetween your boots and your knees or something
  16. I went with Mum last night...Pretty crappy night for me there...Just wasn't focused or something. Anyway there is always next week
  17. Holy crap dude, do you do anything but whore about blue in this forum? Jeeze dude how many posts do i have to read about why blue is better than CB (in the CB forum) before it is renamed 'jeff whored this to a second blue forum' </rant> Anyway getting back on topic....Marg...Will you actully have a parrot sticker on your helmet? I will have my PASR sticker on
  18. Marg... I will hit the wand open, then wait 3 seconds, then go...Is that fair But I will have to take some runs with ya sometime...PM me and let me know when you will be around.
  19. I don't know...I get off 476 and get one 22 everytime. Even in rush hour it just seems to go faster.
  20. You get release forms at the shack where they start the nastar. (1/2 way up the hill).
  21. Randy is also a very good coach. Gus and Shawn can be really good, assuming you can get them out, and coaching.

    P-tex burning?

It does make a really cool sound dripping to the floor. But I don't have basecleaner, so I don't burn that stuff.
  23. Jibb...Just find the management out on the hill...They are out there...I am sure then atleats they would hear you complaining
  24. Jeff Nastar there is 10 bucks for all the runs you want or 5 bucks for 2 runs. Remember if you want to do nastar and are under 18 you need a parent signature on a release form.
