  1. I wasn't joking, at least earlier I could see at the very top of the tubing cam the tell-tale cloud that meant they were making snow on Paradise and presumably Coming Soon. Really hoping they can add those to the terrain for this weekend to spread traffic around so the other two roots don't get so beat up

Nah, looks like they ran the groomers up the middle.

From the Valley cam, upper Main looks barren.

Pretty sure it is, you could see that dead spot in Dirtwolf's pic too, right above where Midway comes in. I think the guns are on at the very top, the flat run over to Lazy, and in the one pic it looks like you can see the guns on upper Lazy firing. So if they are hoping to have Lazy open, it makes sense they would need Tuts all the way between the sixes.

Will be interesting to see what time they open.  Years ago they didn’t open until 10am opening day but 9am is more common.  They usually seem to open on a Friday as well.  If it’s the normal 8am start Saturday will be good but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a later opening to iron out some of the bugs..only time will tell.

Opening time will be a big factor for me. If they do for some reason open at 8, I'll be up for open for a few laps before I have to run to watch kids jump on trampolines. If it's 9 or later as I expect it will be an early afternoon session for me.

  4. It's kind of odd, on the slopsode cam you can catch occasional snowclouds that make it look like they are blowing on Burma, but they aren't blowing on Vista or even the crossover from Come Around, so it would be puzzling that the would bother with Burma. Unless those clouds are from all the way down on Valley School..

Maybe they're just in one of their common inversions

Based on the webcams and their FB reporting I think you’re wrong but maybe they open Saturday instead of Friday.

Right now the wet bulb is above 28 and they’re blowing..very aggressive.

Even have the older tower stick guns going on Main St. I don't think they want to be wrong (amd postpone) twice if they can at all help it

I think they already have a set opening of 12-15 or some like that.  Now that they're both under the same ownership...I wonder if cambelback is becoming the ksl version of big boulder, like in the Vail JFBB relationship. Sort of like blues smaller, overflow mountain that gets less priority

I think those are flipped. I would bet KSL looks at Blue as complementing their crown jewel of Camelback, if they're taking that sort of look at things. Just take a look at the lifts both got last year.

The only reason that they have their opening day set for 12/15 is because of their instance on opening the lookers right part of the mountain first, so they need more night of snowmaking to cover all the concrete and the lazy river.

PASR operates in a blue colored echo chamber, but I think that outside of here and the other Blue Mt passholder diehards the majority of the ski community as well as the General Public considers Camelback the superior resort. Or would, if they considered them at all.

I know I would rather ski at Blue, but if I had to pick one to own or invest in, as they sit right now it would be Camelback by a mile.

    Wtf......

To be fair, I don't really know if these are for parking booths/gate arms. Right now there just 2 separate curb "islands" with underground conduits installed. But from the positioning perpendicular to the two parking lot roads and the section of lot they have roped off, it sure looks like a preferred parking section right in front of the lodge is emminent.

They also appear to have moved a bunch of the metal poles they string the ropes between to form the rows. There was a small Bobcat with an auger attachment tooling around and many poles were in clearly freshly drilled holes.
