  1. Nice trip report! MC sounds so epic. A dedicated singles line? Don't see those at many places (I'm looking at you, Blue). AND a lift that doesn't stop??? Wow! I'm getting really sick and tired of the constant stooping here at Camelback. Sounds like MC is so vast that it has multiple microclimates. Cool!
  2. LMFAO!!! The Sullivan Lift is now broken. Should be fixed in 30-40 minutes... Should. Can't wait to see the show down at Stevenson after i eat my banana and 2 cheese sticks. This is gonna be good.
  3. Yep I called it right. It's already just as crowded as the busiest I've seen it so far this year, and its only 10. I'll stick around for a little while to see how bad it gets, then I might go biking instead this afternoon. The line for lift tickets looks like the line for black Friday shopping already. Whatever though, got some real nice runs in before the madness begun.
  4. Estes Park, Colorado Springs, Durango, Cortez, and Denver. Also went to Monument Valley and Moab in Utah. Mostly road biked, hiked, and did touristy things. Rocky Mountain National Park is awesome, you can spend an eternity there.
  5. I saved it up and didn't take any vacations for several years. Ok I'll try.
  6. I'm always convinced weather is going to ruin my trips, even though it hasn't yet. When I went out west in September, I thought it would rain a lot. I ended getting blue bird days nearly every single day for 3 weeks.
  7. Never heard that one before. Last year they were calling for rain at Killington, and it ended up doing nothing. Then the next day an unexpected snowstorm came and it was epic!
  8. Well it was a nice few days while it lasted. Back to that 50 degree crap. Really hoping Vermont stays cold for when I go to Stowe in 2 weeks. You're fortunate that Jackson Hole's forecast is looking pretty nice.
  9. Definitely. Its going to be warm and we got a snowstorm. Solid prediction.
  10. Bought my lunch for tomorrow. Spicy Italian from Subway. I predict it's going to be the busiest day of the season and I am not giving up my parking spot.
  11. Nope. Not answering. This question is a trap. I had to google what that means.
  12. Rap is crap. You should listen to some power metal.
  13. White Lightning was fantastic. Totally ungroomed and giant moguls. I made it down on my first attempt! I didn't explore any trees based on the advice of JohnnyLaw and several others. The powder just wasn't deep enough. I tried skiing under the beginner lift but hit a rock and fell at low speed. When I started skiing two years ago, Montage was my main mountain because they used to have really good deals on Liftopia for night skiing. I had a lot of fun skiing the top half of the mountain. Now I prefer Camelback or Blue due to the high speed quads.
  14. No problem. I have a couple videos of me shredding on Guitar Hero, but fortunately no one will ever see those.
  15. This reminds me of Ski2Live's video where he is shredding on guitar.
  16. Fine, I played the bassoon. I don't play it anymore. Played guitar for a while but then got bored and quit.
  17. Nah man. I didn't play the flute. I don't want to say it on here in case people bust on me for it.
  18. Thanks, but I prefer my own room if possible. I don't share beds with anyone. On a high school band trip, 4 dudes had to share a room with only 2 beds, so slept on the floor.
  19. Nah, skiing in mashed potatoes sucks. It's my least favorite snow condition, right after snirt. My favorite is Souffle Dure.
  20. I'll have to get out west next year and ski some actual powder then.
  21. Good thing they weren't running the chocolate foundation on Wednesday. Powder skiing is pretty fun, not as fun as fresh corduroy though. I'm too cheap for heli skiing, but I'll go if Matt Edge will pay for me.
  22. I got 7-8 decent runs of untracked powder. The funnest run was Upper/Lower Fast Track. Getting up there required two lifts AND an uphill walk from Iron Horse Lift, so there was lots of untracked left. I think it took about 15 minutes to get up there from the bottom, but it was definitely worth it. Fast Track feels isolated from the rest of the resort, sort of like how I imagine back country skiing feels. It was so neat with all the fresh powder. Lift tickets were only $30 and included rentals. I meant to ask if they rent powder skis but I never got around to it. I went to Camelback so I could practice skiing ungroomed terrain a lot more. I probably got twice as many runs in at Camelback in less time. I also ate 2 cups of hot and sour soup, each with a different variety of wonton trips; marshmallows; pretzels; a variety of fruit, and sushi. I was pretty full from the first plate (picture now famous) so I took it easy after that.
  23. Let me try to get this thread back on topic so the mods don't have to change the tags. Wow! Montage Mountain was so rad on Wednesday. There was so much untracked powder. Since it was snowing in the morning, I got lots of free refills and freshies. In addition, I got free refills of Mountain Dew at the Chinese Buffet. Isn't that cool?
  24. Lol i think just about every new thread created over the last month references RTMs. They sure are popular skis on here. Probably the most popular based on how they're mentioned daily.
  25. Thanks for the emoticon. You even got the color right!
