Wow that's rad. I bet you were singing "I believe I can fly I believe I can touch the sky I think about it every night and day..I spread my wings and fly away"

Salty there’s a ton of old “Flying “ themed songs. Steve Miller, Pink Flyod .

Nice!!  I ended up hitting Camel for a short sesh today.  The lip into Chute yesterday was absolutely bonkers.  You could get so much air off it or knuck huck it, hope they keep it that way.

👍 Hit it Yesterday morning a couple times.
Noting like 0 G’s for endorphin therapy.

  3. Sunny cold… 8:45 Made my way to the Quad and noticed the cattle chute. Ok …. There’s going to be some law and order today. Thought I was going to be first chair but someone in Orange blasted past lol, I figured he would head for Challenge but he went elsewhere. It was a bit disappointing later on to see the cattle out of control and cramming up to the front loading area on the quad and the line built up to the gates. The six had very little line to speak of.

First tracks on Challenge was the best grooming I’ve seen all year. The icing on the cake was a couple inches of snow that drifted over from the fan gun up top. I think I hit my terminal velocity, but felt safe the whole time and was able to launch off the falls lip with just as good of grooming. Challenge was so good I kept lapping it then went to main street and a little bit of snow is drifted over from sleepy, hollow onto the bumps. Blue Balmer glade  was also being blown.

Fortunately , the roulette wheel of fate spared me and I didn’t get stuck in front of the gun on nightmare when the quad stopped for a good five minutes.
    Great day like C1 said.

I never said I was going elsewhere. Just that, for $699, I think I'm gonna wait it out and see what the options were. What if Icon has more blue days? Or maybe I'll mix it up a bit more next year. Besides how the hell would I survive without you telling me which lift to ski to, or how I should hold my my fucking skis over my shoulder.

    Off peak passes are $519.00

You could put the money towards an icon for times you want on the weekend and have bonus of other places?

Blue the True was the first of many, many ski resorts I flew over today in NY, VT, MA, and NJ. Didn't see anyone in the lower lot so this explains it. Hopefully the footage from my new GoPro is so detailed you can see the mud bubbling in the PASR lot

What were the cloud bases at ? Looked like plenty of thermals today.

This storm was nuts, North Allentown 5” Center city 7” South mountain 12”

I ended up with 13.5” One mile south of me only 5”

@AirheadD8 I did notice a darker blue band just south of Allentown so that’s probably what delivered so much for you.

have you hit any of the backcountry lines in your neighborhood?

I debated behind my house, it’s 300 vertical and a road at the bottom. I cheated a couple years ago and had my wife pick me up 😁 There’s some really big rocks at the bottom. So I skipped this year….Unless we get some more next Saturday?

It is, but it’s normally good after 4 PM on Saturdays and Sundays except for holidays. The contradictory email they sent me must have been cut and pasted because the schedule says good after 4 PM

My work schedule is pretty flexible ,I’m not a big fan of skiing on weekends. The only thing I miss out on is skiing with the bump crew in the afternoons.

Miss read the email, good after 4 but not until 4 on Monday.

It is, Airhead must have a weekday pass. My skipping weekends is by choice (I could say I don’t like crowds, but it is really to let the old body recover).

Blue is leaving some serious Johnny cash on the table not making today a holiday as all the schools are closed.

I think they are. I don’t know what they’re charging for lift tickets but I got a don’t come around here email.

It took me 2 1/2 hours from right above Quakertown. If anyone is familiar with 309 where it turns in to I-78 West always a cluster there. Then my escape route onto 145 there also a cluster. Cars off the road everywhere. Can’t understand why folks in small cars with low profile tires even attempt to drive in this.

I’m a few miles north of you and it took me 2:25 hrs. I detoured by Sheetz on 145 after another detour North of Allentown and had to stop for someone who had both lanes blocked while they fiddled with their wipers. There was a plowed lot nearby that they could have pulled into. Backroads were better than the packed ice mains. Although I had to stop for a huge gust of wind that caused a total whiteout for 45 seconds, I literally couldn’t see my hood.

Yeah it’s skiing so it was worth it 😁🤟

I would like to give Blue a little credit today. They had employees there, and both lifts loaded basically on time.

i dont think they fucked anything up today. Nice work Blue!

How much snow did they officially get?
