Snowing pretty good in Malvern, but not crazy. looks like roads are just starting to get slow. heading home. Radar looks to me like south of 78 will be the heaviest snow. Personally i think weather people other than the outlets are predicting the storm they want to see, not whats going to happen. I hope im wrong, but i think we will be on the low totals of this. It would be nice to see Blue pick up a few inches.

My guess is the roads will go to shit around Exton/Malvern in about 2 hrs. Really heavy snow in Baltimore now.

Kinda hard to compare this year to last at this point. But as a refresher last year they were 100% open earlier, and to this date, i would bet we had more snow, and not the bullshit snow/sleet/freezing rain/rain. I do remember the late feb warm up too, but we had some skeet spots in like december too. We have had a metric shit ton of rain this year. This could all change over the next month, so like i said, kinda hard to say this year is better than last. So far, i think last year was better.

Thats what i'm banking on. So many people with their fronto-genesis big fucking snow at first numbers. Believe it when i see it. Why would this storm put down some snow when all the others previously have done shit? the thing that sucks with this storm is all timing. Timing sucks to ski, at least for anybody with any kind of drive, and probably trying to get home from work tomorrow will be a complete shit show like it was in November. Homey dont play that.(again) i'm either staying home to PASR all day long, or leaving work really early.

Interestingly enough, tubing is closed tomorrow. and i saw that a week ago or whatever. I guess tubing with sleet/ice is dangerous. Management being proactive, i guess because they dont have tubing patrolers? And yeah, its pretty obvious SP3000 takes full advantage of skiing empty trails until 8 am, then starts checking the slopes.

The people complaining at JH arent the ones bringing the money into the resort, town, etc....nor do they make the decisions for the resort, i am pretty sure. That being said, JH did have parking issues on some of their busiest days, so they will have that to consider when it comes time to re-up on the Ikon pass. PS. i dont know this first hand, but probably the best place to poop at JH is The Four Seasons.

I am fortunate that 99% of my poops take place before 7 am. Its a rarity that i have to poop anytime after early am, if i do, i am probably sick. I have 0 poops at any ski resort, and only one airport poop to my name. If you do have to poop on the road, a lowes or Home depot usually have nice clean bathrooms in the am.

I think we have determined by the numbers that Blue is actually a dangerous place to ski. We do pretty much accept this risk by skiing there. I am sure Blue pretty much knows this as well, but it seems odd to me that they continue to be reactive, rather than proactive. What does ski patrol actually do when they are on the mountain before 8 am?
