Oh, right....and you may not even get someone on the phone. and if i remember correctly from calling about the 8 or 8:30 opening debacle, the message usually doesnt get out until 7 am.

Call them? In general, it seems like society today wants to communicate through email, text, facebook, etc......I kind of hate it. I think when you need an answer for something, there is just nothing better than picking up the phone to get an immediate response. One time i was told by a customer who emailed me "i would have appreciated a quicker response." every email i send out has my cell on it. I just dont get if he needed an answer so quick, why did he just call?

so many weird noises last night. Most of which i found out this morning had to be my neighbors gate banging back and forth. Oddly enough, my electric didnt go out at all.

There should be something like the Postmaster General for ranking ski trails, maybe like "skimaster general". I dont think anything in the poconos should be labeled as double black. Challenge and Corbets are worlds apart in difficulty.

I heard they were giving out free cocoa Saturday morning. And Vail was gonna buy Blue. And Ryan was going to start posting.

Lots of high school kids, and seniors. Lift rides were interesting. Big time race team people too. They should have been running the quad.

Heard good things about Joey B's as well. Not this time though, i went home to make lunch. i dont live in a hotel you know. Palmerton is actually a cool little town.

Line 4 the 6 is out the scanners. Gonna be busy this weekend. I need to pee, nothing super awesome so i think i will split. Im kinds hungry too.

This was posted somewhere else, but for my 4 days (no big pow days) i really didnt notice anything, but the routine is get in the line for the Gondola at 8-ish, get first Gondi, go ski, so i cant really compare the line for the gondola to last year. The comments are getting pretty interesting. one comment says JHMR is locked into the Ikon for 3 yrs. could be true, could be BS. That place is crowded on a pow day no matter what. What they probably cant take into account, is people like Jeff. He was skiing there this year whether he had the Ikon or not. it just made sense to buy the pass. so how many other people are there like Jeff?

How do you think the glades will be tomorrow? Asking for a friend thats going to ski tomorrow morning. Were you in the way of them marking stuff off? wait....they dont do that till long after opening. Seems like a friendly guy though.

Vail wouldnt do that. They probably wouldnt be selling a pass for $429 either. Which may not be a horrible thing.

it was absolutely $429 until 4/30. i put a reminder in my phone for the middle of April to buy the pass. I hope they dont change the date again.

my 15 mile ride home was better than the November storm. i just cant figure out the poor decisions people make when driving in the snow, and why these people think its a good idea for them to be on the roads. I think people used to stay home when it was going to snow. not so much anymore. having 4wd is awesome, but it really does you no good when you are stopped behind everybody thats stuck or sliding. So glad i didnt drive to Blue. i am sure the ride home would be miserable. looks like Delco has changed to sneet. We might have 3 inches or so, which kind of surprises me. Next up, sleet, freezing rain, and rain. i think the bulk of this storm did stay south.

Roads aren’t really that bad. It’s the incredibly dumb things people are doing on the roads.

Yeah...saw that...looked pretty crowded, but i guess pretty much every school canceled.
