  1. Nah, this mtn is on route 11, as is Bromley, a great, southern facing mtn, but magic is east of bromley. Our house is about 5 minutes from magic, and I've never skied there. Skidude pretty much summed it up. I would, however, encourage you to goto bromley. very few people have been there, but ski999 and i have, and its a great mtn. LOTS OF SUN!

huh? You use a scraper to get as much wax off as possible, then you brush, to get the rest off the base, and get the rest out of the structure. You can't substitute them, its wax, scrape, and brush brush brush. hey ski999 & skidude. He used brillo to scrape his board

as do i. I feel that the nylon just doesn't get the wax off, let alone get the wax out of the structure.
  4. yea, melt the ptext above the base, let it dry, and i use a razors blade, and the ptex that you melted on top of your base should come right off, go slow, working your way down to where you made the repair, and eventaully amke it perfectly flat.

Nestors has a Swix Combo Brush (brass/nylon) and works fine.
  6. Dual GS at Blue on Sunday! I'll be there, I'm flying home from Alta to ski in freakin PA.
  7. his season pass was on his ski jacket, which was else where. She gave him a day ticket for free until he got his jacket back (he was wearing a different ski jacket)...i was just saying, it's nice to know they'll do things to make their customers happy, and not make them waste $25+ o yea, i failed to mention his season pass was on his jacket in the first post.
  8. GREAT JOB TODAY ON RAZOR'S EDGE! What did you guys do? That was unfreakin real! I assume that was fake stuff, but it was sooooo light! You couldn't even hear yourself skiing, it was that soft/deep. Great job!
  9. hey, btw, Blue did something very oppposite to what camelback would do today. My friend had left his ski jacket at his friends house by accident, so when we went to blue today, he was just gunna pay the $25 to get it replaced, since a lift ticket would have been more. And the lady said " are you sure you lost it?" and he said no, i left it at a friends house and hes away right now. She printed him out a ticket, for free, no cost. I'm sure if it were camelback, they'd love to take your money.
  10. hah, i keep hearing about this.... btw, is there NASTAR the day we'll be there?
  11. hey i hard you broke your wrist? that sucks.
  12. I think gurpskier, after what he did today, will agree some maintaince is needed by the park crew. After the flatbox, there was a trench from people getting off of it about a foot deep, it was crazy.
  13. yup, blue had a ton of snow on Challenge, the upper part of come around, lotsa snow on switchback, should be nice for the meet tomorrow. They resurfaced Razors Edge friday night, lazy mile was completely resurfaced, as they opened it up around 8:30 this morning. They need to blow some snow on lower sidewinder though, it was all dirty. Should be really nice for tomorrow.
  14. when i was waterskiing at okemo last year in March, it looked like they were closed, had very little coverage.
  15. Magic Mtn is a small place, about 3 minutes from our house. Never looks crowded...I think ski999 said something last year about how they were struggling to stay open.

  18. I believe we have a few members in NJ, but alot of them like to avoid MC because of the crowds. I've been there once last year, and the park was impressive.
  19. It was snowing pretty heavily on my way up to blue to meet Greg. But my first run or so the snow was really nice, then the snow turned to ice, then eventaully rain around 5 or so, but there was still, untouched, and i mean perfectly flat, powder on a whole trail, as greg and i loved the freshies.
  20. it's great to hear you've discovered the best skiing around The mountain is a whole heck of a lot taller then camelback, just stand in the base area, it's quiet impressive looking, unlike camelback. But yea, $18 is the cheapest skiing you'll find around here. Glad you had fun.
  21. Blue sets the skier X course, at least the ones I've seen, on lower sidewinder and the terrain park, one long course, of course. And everyone who has skied lower sidewinder, knows that 4 people trying to take a turn at why time could equal some injury.
  22. no atomic? I would like to demo some other skis though, as I need new ones
