  1. don't bother responding to @theprogram4 ... he's one of those loser snowboarders who fucks up bumps, scrapes off all the snow, and sits in the middle of trails. oh, and is jelly that he can't enjoy Alta or Deer Valley.
  2. Toured part of the way up Snodgrass after work today, taking a different, more technical ascent. Skin track was definitely a little icy, and glad I had the "grip" skins. Sun stayed away which made the climb quite pleasant. Found some mediocre untracked on the way back down, but any more sun and it's cooked. Stopped after 1.9 miles and 1100ft of climbing. I can definitely tell I'm getting more proficient, efficient, and faster while touring.
  3. Just do it. You won't be disappointed. You'll never be like me unless you ski at DV.
  4. @saltyant You're going to DV, right?
  5. More boring post-work sunny pics of great scenery. Probably go for a tour tomorrow after work.
  6. Sorry, didn't post yesterday, just had a big work project go production yesterday so had some clean up to do. Only skied for about an hour, but it was another perfect day. It's so refreshing to crush some sunny groomers at the end of the day in mild low 30s weather. Great way to end the day.
  7. Hah ... @NMSKI and I had to walk on a log across a stream at Silverton, without skis on. That was some technical shit.
  8. Were you asking those questions when they charged $600 previously?
  9. 😘 Think of it this way ... buy one fewer heady dank juicy hazy 4 pack per month, and one can easily make up the $170 difference. That's pretty easy to do.
  10. Would I rather pay whatever we paid last year? Sure. Like @GrilledSteezeSandwich said, it's $170 more to ski the best mountain in PA, it's super convenient, and has the best parking lot scene. Remember, Blue is in the business to make money, and they've got *tons* of people hooked over the last few years at cheap prices, it only makes sense to raise prices given the demand. I doubt the price increase will have any affect on the season pass take rate on PASR, but if it makes you feel better, keep on bitching. 🤷‍♂️
  11. I'll allow it here because he was working for it. You're not off the hook.
  12. It *is* filthy ... mostly from the drive from Telluride to Crested Butte. I'll get it washed when I'm in Gunnison next week. Even the inside barrels of the wheels are coated in mud/stones.
  13. Well, Rambo is open, and I checked it out (from the bottom). It's pretty damn steep, but too late in the day for me to get up there to do. I didn't get on the hill until 2:45pm, but the weather was *perfect*. Like 38F when I left the house, and low-mid 30s on the hill. Snow was perfectly chalking to fucking rip some turns for an hour. Sorry to get repetitive, but it's just so fucking nice ripping big groomers with nobody around after a day of work. Really does bring a smile to my face. Even got the #1 parking spot. I know @Barb always takes the bus, but late in the day I don't want to waste any more time than I have to, and I can ski right to the car at end of the day.
  14. make sure it has a udder or a cow on it, too.
  15. Follow STAS on Instagram. They're fucking hilarious and you won't think twice about $50 on a custom. https://www.instagram.com/skitownallstars/?hl=en
  16. You're welcome, and any time. @GrilledSteezeSandwich this is getting good. OK, back to snowboarder hating ...
  17. @saltyant stop thinking about it ... just go to DV. Treat yo self.
  18. See, I hate riding the shuttles with a ski bag, I find that a PITA. I'd rather walk a short distance than go through the hassle of loading/unloading my big ass ski big. Granted, I don't know if I've flown out of PHL since shortly after the UA/CO merger, maybe once or twice? It's all EWR these days, but I miss the cheap and convenient garage parking at PHL.
