Didn't see any of you, except AJ. Atomic Jeff's my hero I really wanna hear doug rap before next year. PASR needs a feature where you can upload your own audio

think i saw you guys- i know i saw someone filming toast on the f/d/f. Whatever Got in at about 12, left at 6:30. It was beautiful. Slushy, but just perfect- lower park was sticky (that should really be downgraded over the summer) Pretty much stayed in the park, until the end. Got a few new things down- re-learned front lips, learned buttering into switch 180s, and learned how to put a grab in my 3's. I hit the 53 footer too- kinda cased it though- oh well. IT was awesome today, and lift lines were practically non-existent.

In the end, it would be worth it 100%. There's no debating this. Terrain parks are dangerous places as it is, passes would make them safer by restricting access to those who pose a threat to others (example- sitting in landings, cutting people off , etc). Can you imagine how mad you would get when you get cut off by some 3 year old on a leash wit hdaddy and you got cut off and flew into a tree, and have to stay in the hospital for a few days. BOTTOM LINE, Park passes are beneficial to everyone, except those who are inconvienced by them,( who shouldn't be in there anyway) I could go on, but my pop tarts are almost done

hmm. i'll do a sick indy! maybe i'll do it, just to get out, and for the comp. experience.
-
Blue has that. Their cbox is shit. Bear's c-box/rail is sexy. Doug, is it really that much of an inconvienence to you? Pay 5 bucks for the whole season, and you can get in! It's not to eliminate everyone from entering, but it will GREATLY reduce the weekend warriors from entering. It's all just to make the mountain a better, SAFER place to ride. You can still ski through, hit a jump or two. What i'm saying is- it's not aimed at you- just the idiots. P-I-M-P

See you there, i'll probably be up too. Look for my white helmet, teal goggles and kinda matching board. Just yell steve. Probably between 12 and 7. Dan may be up too, but i havent talked to him.
-
Blue mt. tomorrow. Anyone else going up?
-
Ride DH, just my thought. What kind of board do you have now? Wanna sell it cheap? 20 feet of ptex and some elbow grease could get that sucker back to normal in no time.

"Camelback Ski Area has closed for the season. The much anticipated Mid-March snow never came in time to compensate for the fact we didn't make any after President's Day. Highlights for the season include opening after Blue Mt, and closing sporadically whenever we felt we wouldn't make enough money in day tickets! In addition, the investment into purchasing a new winch-cat showed its value this season. The new groomer pushed the same old snow from trail to trail ensuring crappy conditions. And topping out the season was the 1st annual pond skimming contest where we got to deliberately melt tons of snow to make the years first water feature. Over 40 CB employees were forced to brave the brisk wind and cold pond, being cheered on by all 200 people that turned up that weekend, who were smart enough to stay in their regular shoes, not wasting time on the hill! The 2005-2006 ski and ride season was a great financial success and Camelback greatly appreciated all your money this winter. Thanks again for a short season! We hope to see you all at Camelbeach this summer and back for another season pass next year!" my addition

^^^^^ I like to think that the turns scare some newbies out of the park.
-
EDIT: Go down razors (2 minutes). Take the quad back up (5 minutes) Ski connector, cross raceway, and hike to the top lodge(3 minutes). (The kids in explorers call it "Strawberry Shortcut". ). Take off your skis and walk to your car, enjoying the extra run (4 minutes) Yeah, it's still more, but why would you wanna leave your favorite place in the world so sudden? Hopefully. I think they plan on digging down more, and pushing that dirt over, to make the trail wider. Get it? Like, if they made walls on the trail, like paradise has? Just look at it hard next time, you'll start to see where i'm coming from.
-
that's what the little park's for. I think sidewinder is fine for a park- i love it. Like zach said- it would be nice to have a park on main street. But, i'm used to sidewinder- maybe make the turns a little wider, like where the rails are after the wallride. It was alright when i was there, not what i expected, but fun nonetheless.
-
what did you hear. and- Just decent? Not fucking awesome? Not totally rad? Decent?
-
I'm thinking they could cut it out , almost like another trail, accesibile at the top of sidewinder. Not widening sidewinder. If they did it, they could do it so it dumps out well after the booters.
-
I'd like to see a like, 60 foot straight box- that would be fun as hell. One of the things blue could do better is with their lips to rails. They need to make bigger jumps up to the rails, and have bigger gaps on, so you can get more tech. Blue needs to angle that wallride back in sidewinder. Yeah, it's a lot of work, but i've been there only once this year when it was hittable. Another thing- variation. Blue needs to use more of the features they have. They need to put out more rails, side by side, or staggered, just to have more options. Oh yeah, and what about the lower park? They should seriously take a bulldozer to that, to give it more of a down grade, so it's possible to hit stuff on those sticky days. With the stepping up of the park, something more is needed- PARK PASSES!!!! We all know the benefits. It should at least be for sidewinder. Speaking of sidewinder- lower sidewinder is beat. Next year, i'd like to see an actual boarderx course- one that throws you off of the rollers . I was serious. The park was great this year, but it's time for blue to step it up even more. (and i'm not talking about a 100 foot booter) It seems to me ,that at the top of sidewinder, between sidewinder and challenge, there is room to maybe put in a rail garden. Lemme find a pic to show you what i mean. Like, around this area... to the right of this dude To the left of this man I think you get the general idea.....
-
shit, that's horrible. I'm getting a pass again to blue next year. It's so worth it- it's paid off in what, 10 visits? Plus it's an awesome mt, and the park was well above my expectations this year. Next season is gonna be awesome

When will be Blue's last day? Let the arguing begin!

Down flat down? What the hell, where is this? Or are you thinking of the flat down flat? Or did they flip it around or something? I def. think they could make it another weekend, but i have my doubts. It would be soo cool though. Blue would be the first to open, and last to close. -
If i made a box, i think i'd use sheet metal, kinda like the flat down box/rail at blue (top of sidwinder), even though that's actually steel plate. I'd cut plywood to size, and then wrap sheet metal around the plywood, so there aren't any sharp edges. OR, i'd just use plexiglass/lexan, which they DO sell at homedepot- you just gotta look hard for it. I don't know about this polyethylene stuff- i can't find it, or a realistic price/size. I think it would work the best, because ski/snowboard bases are made of polyethylene. What the hell does blue use, like on the cracker barrel- it's like an inch thick- definitely not plexiglass.
-
Buy a youth lift, or have someone buy it for you- 30 bucks! I heard someone died going down razors or challenge on a tube- most likely bullshit.
-
Coverage was pretty low, but it was pretty good. where was i when you met them? probably getting up from the grond. Yeah, i have to agree there. I was actually disappointed in bear's park this year. (keep in mind the only times i went were the 7th and the 17th-must be the weather). Despite that, it is a nice park, which i'll go back to. I'll let dan tell you the lift ticket cupon story
