With the warm temps forecasted for this weekend, and out of curiosity- i ordered some oneballjay glow wax. It came today- and i'm confused . Has anyone used this? It's dark red wax. I waxed my board with it, and my base looks like shit. It also says you're not supposed to scrape. wtf?

I like that rail, but i wish it had more of a gap.

Got home from my first trip to bear today. I liked the park, for the most part, but it took me forever to get comfortable with-a lot of the rails seemed weird to me for some reason. I didn't try a lot today- just took it easy. It was a pretty nice night, except for icy-like conditions. The one thing i didn't like was this one box. It was flat/curve down/curve flat- it was so short- didn't touch the thing. I could keep talking about what i didn't like, or just leave it- the park is nice, and i'll be back again. After tonight, i realize that i couldn't have bear as my home mt. I'm all for park and everything- but good freeride is a must- blue's where it's at for me.

I'm too lazy/pressed for time, t olook through the posts. What can i expect in bear's park tomorrow- headed up for the first time ever. Just- what are the key features? Do they have that rollercoaster box still (was in the bearcreek gallery).

I broke my right arm twice. Since last season, i've been using gloves with the built-in wrist guards. (level gloves ) They're a bit akward at first, but you get used to them.

The rail jam setup was nice. I didn't take pics, but it was: Drop in to a 15? foot flat box, small gap to a 15? foot down box, down a little bit, there was another box, about the same length. It was setup so nice- i regret not entering. They had a soundsystem going, and would play homer simpson sounds whenever people would fall (ex-DOH! or Aw Crap!) I wish blue would setup some rails like that- on wide tables with nice, wide lips on to them . It would be sooo nice.

Any details on pricing?

I really wasn't feeling the course. I was super nervous too, (first boardercross, first competition ever). The only part i didn't like was the rollers-other than that it was fun. I got eliminated in my first heat

Toast, how was the snow. I'm heading up today, and i just wanted to know what i should expect. Icy, Slushy, or (cross my fingers) powdery?

The easiest way is to just try it on a small box. Get comfortable turning onto it, then just try to ollie on to it. Just stay centered on your board, and stare at the end of the box. They're not that hard to get. I actually find it harder to get out of them than into them

Will Sidewinder be open as usual on saturday, or will they close it to get ready for the slopestyle?

What about the boarder/ skier cross, and the rail jam. I'm def. doing the boarderx sat. Won't be there sunday.

It would be easier with a lot of speed, but if you mess up it's a lot worse. On saturday, i saw a pretty fair amount of people hitting it. It's really nice-i don't know what some people are talking about. The worst part of the rail, to me, is the dip. It looks so intimidating, but seriously-it's not that bad. Boardslides are a different story I hurt my arm on lower sidewinder. It seems alright- a little pain when i apply direct pressure. I'm just gonna wait it out and see what happens.

that's a lot of puppy chow. Are those the dogs with blue eyes-they're awesome.

hmm... someone here has low self-esteem. I almost went today, but it didn't work out. Not complaining, either.
