  1. interesting.... the 30+ crowd, half dozen or so have said they that portion was "neat", "wow", "how did they do that?" etc.. What part is boxcar racer?
  2. yes.. I want to see a park here in the east figure out where they can fit one in..
  3. Justo - if you can step into them - you have to try my Karmas. they are so under the radar, trust me.
  4. People mostly hike various features repeatedly to work on their skills and take the tow when they feel like a session or just want to get back up to the top. COC is huge this year. They are at the mercy of the snow base and this year even seventh heaven lift is open for the first session peeps. COC is the largest of the camps, they got even more acreage this year. They have the most off mountain activities included, truck loads of swag, excellent accommidations, but they are also the most expensive. They got Steele Spence for a rock star coach this year. COC is not know for having big name coaches and it does not have much if any regimen to it. However, if you push yourself, there is nothing lacking.

The HD dv 3ccd camera was 2K around christmas, now it is $1500 - I estimate that by ski season start a comparable camera will be down around $1200 or less. I am going to wait
  6. Jackie is just too cool.... hope she comes out for the BC Showdown events.
  7. More updated pictures of Camp of champions Chck out the huge gap way in the background

WOW - thats not good. Could you send me some quick suggestions? The camera would be used primarily for the snow. Portable, the best stabilization, I'll want wide angles and plenty of battery life. thanks

I hear the best are the ones that record directly on onto DVD. I am just learning and the Canon what ever sucks that we have.. it;s stabilizer thingy suck or is broke . best buy is of no help..
  11. Quality Boxes and pictures from yesterday.
  12. depends on a lot of factors, $3000 for 1 week is reasonable to budget.. if you are serious about camp, you can shop. Last year if you registered before October 1 you got a 20% discount at COC. I saved $800 on a 2 week camp!! THen plane fare, the non-stop flight from Newark NJ to Vancouver has ranged from $725 to yesterdays $430!! I gambled and waited till last minute to book. I would have paid about $500 - then you are going to need some spending money..... There are a lot of cheaper camps available, you can stay with friends, you can live off of ketchup and crackers. COC has a calculator that you can play with to figure your expenses
  13. Yeah - nothing wrong with mogul training. HN is recognized as the most progressive camp for skiers. COC is the largest camp with the most variety and extras included. To quote Dave Bishop at HN - he has some serious park envy right now. Plus I know the staff at COC real well. Steven has friends/staff at Momentum and High North and will probably be visiting both while out there to decide where he would like to go next year. There are epic conditions right now for the all of the summer camps at whistler. They all are good.
  14. Some photos for a quick update for June 7. Sorry the update is so ghetto, Doug at NS is figuring out why nothing will upload right. Anyway.... Steve Petrie and Marty are building away even as we speak. We have the raw bones for a lot of the park roughed out. So far we have the bones for 8 tables in the small to BIG scale, 2 hips and 3 raised platforms for the 40 foot slider boxes. Our rails are getting flown up daily nad the welders are welding like mad. The pipe is roughed out as well it's going to be sick. So much snow... So many ideas... 8 Days to go. See you soon Ken
  15. It's a done deal. The triple is going to a quad. more is better, right?
  16. 1. The roller coaster rail. 2. Bring everything back 3. Figure out how to fit a step up in, somewhere. VT knows.. 4. large park 40'+ Medium - 20'-40' Small <20' 5. Anything else? do I dare mention Park passes? Adopt the Snowmonster program for the littlest groms. Edit: Nipples wants a 100' box... or several of them positioned close to transition between.
  17. Good Call. I like the way that binding mechanically works, really like...... If they can lighten it up and make it more durable for the park scene then I think they will have a winner.
  18. Tape it and watch the game later?
  19. I know a super fast boarder who rides out of Big Boulder. He did really well at the USASA Nationals in Tahoe. 15 years old............
  20. You guys don't want to take away editing, because then you would be just like Newschoolers.
  21. not only is there no mention of 27 points - that post doesn't appear to be edited either.
  22. Thank God.....
  23. nice recap of your season!
  24. Once upon a time there was a dad with a kid who wanted to race, but then one night he heard certain racing fanatic belting out his true colors..........................
  25. 6 rails/boxes... it looks good however, we won't be going up, it appears to only be a fun jam. No competition format.
