Keith - Shawnee has a gem in you! I think that shawnee was under the radar this year. We visited you once and were amazed at the quality of the park comparitively to the others given the poor winter we had back at the end of January. We would certainly have visited this weekend if Steamboat hadn't called. Props to you and the support Shawnee has given you and for the updates you have provided here. BTW - were you aware that Billy Kiel made the NextSnow team and represents Shawnee on this Nationally recognized team? Let your Marketing people know!!!! Free ride? - all of you are just jealous! All of you would cry if you worked your butts off, made the olympic team and then had nothing to go to except ski patrol - there is not one of you who wouldn't say that the world owed you something if you had acheivements like Bode. The vocal wannabe majority get on their soap box and bash those on top?? The ski team has no pension fund. Let the guy be! He was right, he didn't want to ski the olympics. He did it to squash all the negative naysayers. Now you all have the fodder you were looking for.. By bringing the subject of Bode up - you only serve to satisfy what you say you loathe and that is his achieving enough noteriety and fame to capitalize. If you all think that badly of him. then give the guy what you say he deserves and quit fueling the fires and bringing him attention. Because the more attention he gets the more successful he is going to be with marketing himself. Go Bode GO!

Blue already has enough straight down the mountain fall line trails. woooo hoooo lets see if we can increase the people per sqaure foot on the slopes. I hope they open several more trails to deal with the increased up hill capacity.

Leave the guy alone.. He is doing what he wants to do, period.. He has been there done that. He is an awesome skier and always will be... To me, nothing else matters and for the kids, they should look to him as a role model, kids should be who they want to be, regardless of opinion.

Lots of internal injuries this year. I am thinking of notching my kids up with more body armour. Nipples already wears crash pads which are awesome.. everyone always mentions how he just keeps going. Saturday was OK... Sunday, both Steven and ridge came back with base damage. Get your rock skis out!

hahaha.. I never realized something until last weekend up at killington. There was a group photo of the next snow team, I heard several comments from women and teenage girs in the gallery about how "cute" they thought all the contestants looked with their tans. Of course 75% of the competitors were from western ski areas. I really got get some pics up. It is a cool picture they made them take off their hemets and googles.

Word has it that someone has been practicing with a monoski....

CB drilled into the dirt on Saturday. I learned something interesting about those type of conditions and the weight of the racer.. another time another topic.

We must have just missed you! there is snow - albiet they got hurt this weekend, as did everyone........... and I heard plans to freshen up the conditions if the temps drop low enough at the end of this week.

I will be there. I also would like to push for the formation and organization of a freestyle/slopestyle program - team. The USASA format - NOT USSA... I think that if both programs are added, that you will stand a better chance of success and subsequent support.
