  1. The SS's have a little bit of a tipped up tail, they are ok for basic switch and straight air. Any age over 8 is OK! I will bring some movies and my computer, if it is too nasty to go out we can do some movement analysis. I do not think it is supposed to rain all day, so maybe we will get to go out after lunch.
  2. We give lesson in the park, pipe, and skiercross. At this point in the season your options are: 1 hour private lesson - $75 4 hour single day session - $75 6 single day session (the rest of the program) - $300 Let me know if you have any other questions.
  3. The right of way goes to the person that looked around and made their drop known to others who are near the feature. One cannot call a drop on Lower Sidewinder to drop into the Terrain Run's first jump. If you are far away you should have a buddy let your drop known to the people closer to the feature.... if you are starting that far away you really should have a spotter anyway.
  4. Apprerenly Atomic thinks HE owns the mountian...

  6. Awesome, it was great to have you along. The other kids are already asking when you will be back. We try to have a lot of fun when we go out, it is a much better environment to learn in!
  7. Thanks Thanks! Yeah, insurance always sucks the money. We will also be running camps in the summer, and with the plentiful lodging and other attractions in the Poconos it will make a great destination.
  8. I have not decided on the final material yet, I have a lot of samples here that I have to evaluate further. The cost is in the millions, so we will be using investors and sponsors to help fund the project. This has nothing to do with any mountain in the area at this time. We will start searching for locations this spring, and trying to keep in in the Poconos area. The material I am using now in my backyard is a decent slide, not as fast as snow... but enough to get things done. The only drawback is that it is not really carvable, so that is why I am looking at other material as well.
  9. We are working on opening a "summer" or year round terrain park in the Pocono area. The park will be open year round, seven days a week, day and night. We will be using a type of snow carpet that will be wet during the summer and snow covered during the winter. There will be a halp-pipe, quarter-pipe, rails, boxes, jumps, bumps and tons of other things to have fun on. Competitions, concerts, movie premeiers, and jams will be a regular occurance. Right now we are trying collect data regarding interest and profitablility, please take the poll or if you have any comments or questions just let me know. Thanks!
  10. I think so too, the kids are loving it! Yeah, Jake is there from 12-8 and I am there from 4-8 today.
  11. This Saturday at 8:30am at the top lodge behind the wood wall, if you are interested in joining.
  12. Freeride ski and freeride snowboard are reasons for the awesome park this year. As well as BC's Park, and customer complaints. The race prorgam is the reason why Razor's Edge was built. The freeride programs are about coaching, training and competing. The only difference with the race program is they have a lot more people involved... for now.
  13. If you were thinking about joining the Blue Mountain Freeride Ski Program (now known as the Darkside Freeride Team) I have good news... we are now offering a 5 week "half season" package. You can join the fun for the next 5 weeks for only $295.00. Do not worry about your ability level, we will work with you at a pace that is comfortable for you but progressive enough to get you to where you want to be. It does not matter if you want to learn a 180 or switch 270 on to a box we can help. Our coaches are skilled and trained in may different areas and are also winning some competitions. But do not let that intimidate you, we also have many years of teaching experience and can relate to students of any ability. If you have any questions please let me know. The second half starts THIS weekend 1/21/06.
  14. I have a bunch of sponsors lined up for a series of comps at Blue. Unfortunately we were unable to get any on the schedule for this season. Next season we will have a lot more.
  15. Ok, so I know it has been a while... and that I have been promising some more photos. I have just been so busy that I have not had the chance. So I figured that I would post a small crappy video that at least shows the new box installed and being used. I will have the full video ready soon! Check out the raw footage teaser from our T-Day Jam...
  16. Sorry guys, we are in the process of restructuring the park crue. There were some crue members that were not doing their job. It turns out that park crue is actual work! After this week we should have things running a lot smoother.
  17. Hey everyone, the first weekend of the Blue Mountain Freeride Ski Program went great. The students are having a lot of fun, and strating to progress already! I have to say that the coaches are also having a good time. It is not too late to join up, in fact you can join the program at any time this season. If you are in another program at Blue you can also switch over at any time. Also remember that we have single day sessions for $75.00, and we are working on adding single hour private lessons for $75.00. Come out and check us out, or just say hi!
  18. 2006 Nitro T1 with Raiden Phantom Bindings and Salomon Dialogue boots. I also have a Burton Twin for the summer.
  19. Yeah, I do these days. During the week I am a snowboarder.... shhh. Were you in the cafateria?
  20. Well, if a person pays an hourly rate for a lesson they get the privelage of not having to pay extra to stand in line. You may not be too happy if you paid $75 for a private hour, and ended up standing in line for 45 minutes...
  21. Just wanted to remind everyone that the program starts next Saturday 12/17 at 9am. If you are already signed up for a different program at Blue you can change over to Freeride without an issue! You can also join up at any time during the 10 weeks, unfortunately there is no discount for missing days. Beginner or Expert, you will get something out of this program. To have a coach work with you on anything you want for 4 hours a day can only better your ability in the end. Don't be embarrased if you can't do a 180 or slide a rail.. we already have some first timers signed up! Come on out to Blue this weekend and look for us in the park, we are happy to answer any of your questions about the program or your skiing.
  22. Yes, ITC is kind of fun. You get to meet new people and better your riding. The cost inlcludes lift tickets for the 2 days that will allow you to ride after as well. You will also get more chances to ride during the following 2 weeks of apprenticeship. I know everybody who run both ski and snowboard, you should have a decent time. We need more instructors, so tell anyone who is interested to check it out. The pay scales have been chenged this year to provide better pay and shorter lessons.... 50% better than last year actiually.
