  1. Part of me thinks blue should have gotten more than 1 top to bottom open after a week of non stop snowmaking, and the other part thinks I’m being a hater.  They got razors open, and then some smaller runs like raceway, chute, and come around.  Not sure if I am being unrealistic expecting at least one other top to bottom coming into this weekend

Back in 2012ish they had all their features and a bunch of sheds and fences tagged up by some graffiti artists from NYC. It was pretty cool for a minute there.

Parks in general have seen a decline. They're expensive to maintain and build since they take up a lot of snowmaking resources, and the majority of guests won't care if it's there or not. It's a pretty small proportion of overall visitors to a ski area that are ever really using a terrain park. A few places like JFBB were the exception but even there Vail has decided it's not going to continue building terrain parks.

Maybe that trend is reversing though.

One of the graffiti writers CB hired, “Ader” is one of the biggest snitches in nyc graffiti history lol.  Revs and Skuf both served time cause of him. He also ratted on some writers in Japan.

however, CB also hired “2esae” who is a nyc graffiti legend, so I guess it evens out lol

  3. Rode with my dad from 10-2.  Fun conditions.  Razors opened on my last lift ride up so got ROTD last run.  My dad plays 6am ice hockey so since I was going with him I played as well before riding.  Had set my alarm to 4 am to get to my parents house but woke up at 2:45am and couldn’t go back to sleep.  Roads were snow covered leaving hockey and looked like they needed plowing, but weren’t bad at all by the time we got to landsdale.  Ended up getting 5 inches in Downingtown.  I’m confused if the plowing was good down here or if the snow didn’t really stick to the roads as the day went on, cause the roads were perfect.  Always fun riding blue in natural snow, good amount of people there

  4. Rode from 9:30-2:30.  Very fun riding natural snow.  Like Jlaw said, being in the ambience of natural snow is great.  Said hi to toast on the way out.  Drive took much longer than usual as lots of traffic on 30 bypass and northeast extension.  Roads were surprisingly bad in chester county, surprisingly good in Montgomery county, and ok in Lehigh valley.  Luckily the focus is a beast in the snow

Yup just like @toast21602 hot and cold…and like a Katie Perry song…some days are good some days are bad.  Shit just today I’ve been happy and pissed off several times.  C’est la vie you take the good you take the bad you take them both and then you have the Facts of Life…no @theprogram4 this morning which is rare.  Yeah I fucks with the Beatles no big dealio…and loving some of the Tik Toks coming out of the Bronx…

I’m kinda jaded from blue after sunday’s debacle and the insane amount of people on the trails on Monday.  There is a 40% chance I’ll be there tomorrow at some point but not for opening. I should be there sat and sun though, or maybe just tomorrow and Sunday, but def Sunday, so who knows

Holy crap. Still have power here, I am starting to worry about the 2 huge oak trees next to our house. They’re healthy, but I’m not sure how much more ground soaking they can take. Not sure what’s happening on the roads- we’re not going anywhere.

Ya the first responders have a ton going on right now unfortunately

Thunder and lightening or BLM protests???

Transformers blowing and trees falling.  Also shout to the assholes putting the firemen’s lives at risk by driving into flood waters in places that flood literally every heavy rainstorm, yet people still drive into them and get stuck

  8. Rode from opening til 1:15 today.  The busiest non holiday weekday morning I’ve ever seen.  They opened the OG 6er and lines at all 3 lifts were out the gates.  Rode razors for the first time this year.  I was hesitant about coverage but it was surprisingly nice.

TP4 also in the house.  He has to be beating the boomers in runs in the leaderboard.  He’s been putting in some legit sessions.  Maybe the most dedicated PASR

With a 1 hour and 45 minute drive each direction, I have to get my money’s worth lol

I wonder if by having the dumpsters there it almost encourages people that it is ok to drink on and throw trash off the lift.  Ditch the dumpsters, slap up a couple of cameras and pull passes when people litter.  I feel kind of bad being so grumpy about it, but I can’t think of a good reason why people should be allowed to litter like that.

Hey now don’t give them ideas, I need a place to toss my coffee cup lol
