I was up this morning - the first one scanned in at 7:57 after picking up my season pass. I don't know what all the whining about conditions is for, they were ok until right before 10 but it was raining and foggy. lower main ALWAYS seems to have the worst snow quality, not sure if its the guns there or the way it sits in that gulley that the fog gets it?!?!? i thought the top half of main was actually pretty good and was holding up well even at 10 when i left. the bumps were fun, soft and medium/small - spent most of my 12 runs there with 3 down come around - snow seemed fine on come around and midway...gotta love skiing in the november rain

after college i lived in new rochelle ny and had a little drivers license "issue". i used to take the commuter train with all my ski sh!t up to to poughkipsie or kingston where my buddy would pick me up. he lived in saugerties just before the windy road up to hunter...what a blast! -
i don't, last year on thursday nights nastar glenn and i talked about it and thought that racing might be even more fun if we knew what the f*3k we were doing - i learned olds kool ankles together skiing which doesn't work very well on the gates so i figured if nothing else i'll learn how to get more carve out of my sidecut and have another night on the hill - sign up it'll be a hoot

last spring one run - i think it was rocket - was pretty moguled up, and the top headwall was pretty steep to boot. much more difficult than barneys at blue. the only thing about barneys is the length - i'm usually suckking wind pretty hard halfway down

nuttin', kids got all new equipment last year and we got them new jackets/pants at end of season clearance for xmas this year. i'm set for the season - just over 2 seasons on the am cruisin head ixrc's and 1 on the the fischer riu twins will hold me until next season. right now the 2 ski quiver covers most of my needs...its tempting to pick up a set of powder boards on tramdock but totaly unneccessary, or a gs race ski - but i don't think equipment is my main issue on the nastar track. besides we're on somewhat of a spending freeze - it cost alota squila to insure a 16 yo driver and the uncertain economy's got me a little nervous/conservative at best..... and i'm gonna keep that spyder/coudeveil outlet a little secret from mrs snowbunski...

cool, thanks for the heads up on the vt pass! .....damn they get ya on those blackout dates though! kinda silly when you think that 5th graders will be in school except for the holidaze
