  1. I was only there once but it didn't seem like there was too much pitch, I guess they will open it up along the fall line more...
  2. Oh, so all this time those guys from Bayonne were speaking Svedish!
  3. Nice Pics - looks like a great day! The Out of Order sign make the gun toting tot complete! Keep posting '99!
  4. Go nipples! (I always wanted to say that!) PA represent!!! I gotta say this thread is a classic !
  5. I'm looking out my window at work gettin ready to bug out and head up blue.. a bazillion snow geese (white with black wing tips - not canada geese) just flew by heading west, getting blown all over the place. Yesterday morning I walk out of my garage heading to work and this squirrel is bouncing across my yard...THWUMP! a red tail hawks nails him and just stand over him with his wings spreadlooking at me for about 15 secs and gets spooked and flys away. The squirells still on the ground wriggling when WHUMP! hawk #2 comes down and takes him away! Signs of winter staying around a bit? I hope so...
  6. Mrs. SnowBun-ski got her invite today - thats all I've heard!!!! AAAAHHHHH!
  7. Thanks...the conditions tonight should be prime for you to silver - as long as theres no moon craters like last week. I'm bummed I'm going to miss the big showdown!
  8. Lots'0-fun!!! THey really do nice job with the timekeeper anouncements - name, hometown, times run etc. The course was more forgiving then blue - makes for a great place to lose you Nastaar-ginity. Mrs. SnowBun-ski rocked the creek bringing home some new jewelery! Bronze and Silver! That was the first time I was at Bear Creek and i gotta admit I was a little enviuous of the lodge/lounge - the wings are way better than Blues!!!
  9. Yeah, on the road we look like the Beverly Snow-Billys...not at bad as when we go camping with 5 mtbikes on the car and a beat up 17' canoe on top of the pop up camper!!! (deliverance music in background...) Hope your guy feels better ...
  10. I know it's lame but when I tossed out 'STAR for Thursday it didn't go over too well with Mrs. SnowBun-ski - there's still a glimmer of hope but I'm not counting on it. It's no small task to pack for 5 w/equipment etc.!!! Beachie, I woke up with a bad hack too this morning - sucks...
  11. Probably gonna miss Thursday NASTAR at BLue this week (got pack for Mt SNow) so I'm thinkin about hitting BC Wednsday since I have a few passes I have to use - anyone else going? What time does it start?
  12. Very Cool!!! Thanks for posting those!!
  13. The snice - wasn't quite snow, not really ice - was giving me alot problems tonight, just couldn't get it together. I keep telling myself that skiing the the different course conditions SHould make me better, just waiitng for those results to show! Mrs. 'ski even did 2 NASTAR runs tonight, she'll be on my my heels in no time! Glenn & I Lost doug & atomic at the top of challenge. challenge was really funky with big sort of rollers from the snow making, were pretty cool to compress/decompress on - you could air/hover 4-6" above them and land and the backside before turning into the next one - kinda cool. Looking forward to the freshies this weekend! Could make for some very interesting croquet!!!!
  14. I was listening to Matisyahu earlier!! My daughter thought they were Amish !!!

Wow! Three post in as many minutes - a new record for me! Maybe I feel a need to help fill a certain void on the board - Any way. I'm thinking about new skis this week and need an all mountain ski that'll let me ski from NASTAr over through Barney Bumps to some RAzors rippers. I'm looking at head XRC1100's, atomic SX10's or metrons, Rossi B2's all of which I think I can get in my budget on the net or next weeks sales - any input?
  16. Thanks for all the tips - I look forward to keep plugging away Thursday nights! After 30 some odd years skiing it's alot of fun and a great challenge to actually THINK/feel/REACT to the snow/equipment/body differently - I even see a change in my free skiing over the last few weeks!
  17. Some Old Fat Alcoholics (SOFA) is wher Bode is headin unless he gets it together soon and RASTA is an offshoot of the Jamaican bobsled program - in other words I really don't have any aspirations other than to go out and ski as fast as I can once or twice a week and could use a few pointers!
  18. Ok, I want to tap all you racers brains. Running NASTAR I'm trying to keep it simple...wider stance, stay forward (shins against the tongue of my boots), lay the skis over more and link arc'd turns - that's it! Last week it was interesting that my first run - relaxed basically just scoping out the course - was my fastest of the evening! I have some equipment limitations but really can't do much about that right now - any ideas? I want to build a strong foundation so I can use NASTAR as a stepping stone to RASTA and SOFA!
  19. Jeff was definately dialed in! '99 and Metz fared pretty well also, nice job! Best conditions/set to date and tons o' fun!
  20. You got to go by me to get to Jeff! Tonights the night its all gonna come together! Then we can close the gap on Atomic Man!
  21. Considering what they did a few weeks ago for the biker-cross it shouldn't be a problem...
  22. Sounds like a great event! I've never been to Greek Peak, any mountain reviews or comments, how far from the Lehigh Valley? I'd like to check it out it we we can't get to the Relay...
