  3. I hear he's been practicing! http://www.2xfun.de/view.php?file=4289#item
  4. Cool, Just to be clear skitzo - Its a club pass good for six visits, not six lift tix
  5. Anyone interested? The deadline to get the extra (6th) pass is approaching fast! Going....
  6. Oh yeah, we get these for the kids - its' a bargain and we've found with their other school/sports/social schedules they don't get up alot more than six days so it works out great...

  8. I also saw a sign today for a ski sale Saturday at Freedom High School, anybody know anything about it?
  9. That's where I learned to ski in the Glen Landing (somerdale, nj) SKi club around (yikes!) 1974-75!!! I don't know the vert but it was literally a hill - from the lodge my folks (who didn't ski) could watch me ski top to bottom. It had a T-bar on skiers left and a rope tow right. I think there were 3 "trails" - beginner, beginner, and uh, not beginner. I think I rememeber weekday lift tix were like $6 -f&*k I feel old....for the second time this week. I took my new longboard to Amatuer Athlete with some trucks and wheels that were in the garage for new bushings, cups etc.. Everything was fitting together kinda squirelly and when I did the math I figured the Indy trucks were like 27 years old!!!

    Getting closer!

I was at Army Navy last night and they've started putting skis out!!!!
  11. There were a group of 2 or 3 carvers or whatever one morning at blue late season - Doug I think I was actually skiing with you and A-Jeff and some guy not from the board. They made reeeeeaaaallllly wide turns - totally perp to the fall line like Rob says - at speed, I almost took one out on Challenge or razors cuz you just figure they're going to initiate the turn much sooner than they do. The boards were long with square tails and the boots looked more like ski boots with elevated bindings. That was the first (and only) time I had ever seen them...

    Helmets

I wear a helmet playing hockey and biking so last year I figured I'd start wearing one skiing. I put it off for year until I found the Giro Fuse - light, great vents, removaeable ear flaps. I just wish they made an all purpose one instaed of having three - renovable flaps, cage etc., that'd be great to save some $ and storage space. I'm trying to get my son to wear one all the time cuz he's a train wreck!!!
  13. 'dawg, 42 pages of site plans for 2 acres? Holy Shnikey!! Do you guys charge by the page or does that include building architecturals/MEP's etc?
  14. Man you guys are beatin on Papa, I don't think he was trying to piss on your parade (this time) but was just stating what is typically involved in land clearing permits. He's right that these things can drag out forEVER, even when some big players and stakes are involved. Hopefully for SnoMountain having the county on their side will make this a slam dunk but even so can take weeks/months just to complete the freakin' paper shuffle. It'll give them time to work on that moose logo!!
  15. Good newss!!! Now to get to work on that logo!!!
  16. Hey did any body go? Report? Beuller? Bueller?
  17. Hey did anyone do Tuckermans this spring? I thought I saw someone post that they were going, did I miss the report?

  20. Man theres a lot of potential for some funny ad campaigns there!
  21. Another option is the club pass, you get 6 trips for $100. There weren't any day restrictions (every Thursday etc.) with the unlimited option. Its a pretty good deal. I think you need a club with minimum 15 members. I'll post the info when I get it next fall - I do this with our church
  22. Hey VTM - I may need to get some pointers or weapons or something...Mrs SnowBunski is a brown belt (Okinawan Shorin-ru) and the kids are green/greeen/ blue. When they first started I thought it was cool, I'd have my own little army - Mikes Militia! But latley I think theyre planning a mutiny!!! On topic Have fun all tommorrow, go big and post some photos/viddy-O
  23. Where does one get the DWR stuff - either spray on or wash in? All of the waterproofing in my family's ski clothes is long gone....
