  1. cant belive iceface made the list... granted it was #10... but still
  2. i am a mechanic that takes off a few days a week for the winter season to work at blue the true... dave is the main man for security and I lost his number when my phone broke and till i can talk to someone in the office or him personally i cant get his number back. Im pretty sure if there was a way for me to contact someone i would have done it already. i guess ill just wait till the open house in october when i know someone will be in the main office and i can get everything squared away then.
  3. I did call but it would be nice to speak to an actual human rather than listen to their oh so wonderful recording. I want to talk to a person... what ever happend to customer service. It was a nice day so i figured i would take a drive to blue and see how things are looking. thought someone had to be there.... at least one important person. probably on his/her smoke break
  4. Yeah...... So. I took a trip up to give brenda or whatever her name is my sheet of paper they give for returning back to blue for employment. I went to the main lodge looked around at the mew construction which looks killer to see some nice upgrades. I walked to the front doors and they were both locked saying hardhat area only construction.... Great. I cannot get in. So I went to the valley and no one was there besides the mtn bikers so I walked around some more just to check things out. Anyone know when the best time is to actually see someone that is employed there lol. seriously that place is a ghost town during the summer. And i have till the 30th to hand in my paper for employment..... It's almost back to the gridiron once again for the 2010-2011 season.... Once again doing security. It's strange not to find any employees, I was there for a total of 45 mintues and wandering in places I shouldn't have been even trying to find someone who can radio to the person who i need to see. damn ghost town.
  5. does anyone know of someone that has ever been the blue knob? i was curious of how it is and if it can be comparable to a northern or western resort on a conditions and terrain basis only... vertical is average for a pa ski mountain only 10 feet less than blue mt so that's nothing special, blue knob must have some nice conditions though. Hear they get on upwards of 130 inches of pow a season.... thats nuts for a pa ski area. I checked their site and they reported 162 inches for 09-10.
  6. I bought the Bindings and Boots with 3 weeks left of the 2009-2010 season. They aren't even broken in yet! I can almost say brand new. 2010 Black K2 Cinch CTC Bindings - $135.00 2010 Black K2 Transit Boa Boots - $135.00 2008 JL Audio 500x1 Monoblock Amplifier - $300.00 My Girlfriend has an outragious Hospital bill to pay for and like the good Boyfriend I am, I am willing to hock my things to get extra money to help her pay on it. I live in Orefield just outside Allentown, I'm not shipping anything just looking to do local buisness.... I can take Pictures if anyone is interested so you can see the product before you commit.
  7. Naw he's sober as a Jay Bird Drunk messages are the best no matter what form they come in
  8. must be nice! have fun.
  9. all depends on what kind of money you want to spend... nidecker hold a place in my heart its a supurb company from sweden there boards are kinda pricey but thats what you get for a real good constructed and imported product. powder longer is better. better stability, harder to turn but in powder length is your friend. width shouldnt be a real problem in powder but since you have a 12 boot i would suggest getting a wide board if your feet hang over more than an inch and a half front or rear or even both get a wide board. not sure if nidecker makes wide boards but other companies do too but getting a wide board may cut own your selection down a bit. good luck! I think nidecker holds one up on most companies because of the materials they use.... spend 300 bucks on a average board or spend up to 900 bucks for a nidecker. here is a link for a good powder board, browse the whole line of boards they offer. http://www.nidecker....Ultralight.html Edit: oh i re read it and saw you said you have NO toe drag then disregard what i said about a wide board.
  10. *ponders* Now if I could only skateboard........
  11. haha i never got asked that one actually!
  12. Working ticket check was as easy as scratching your tesicals and for a free pass.... please ill do that anyday of the week.... although you would not believe the idiots that ask some of the most retarded questions!!!! Excuse me sir is that the "quad six pack" pointing at the six pack..... wtf? Hi, have you seen my brother? How far do you think I can see in this fog? What lodge is this? my sister is stuck on raceway how long do you think it will take for her to get down? is the big air bag really full of air? I can keep going! i never knew so many idioits existed! EDIT: haha Does that lift go all the way to the top? Is it snowing up there? Are all the trails covered in snow?
  13. Man this site really goes down the shitters during the off season I haven't had the oppertunity to be a member at this point of the year. When I joined people were starting to get ready for the 09 season. How's everyone doing since there is no more Skiing/Boarding? I heard out west they ride sand dunes... seriously.. wouldn't want to wipe out though it would be like taking 80 grit sand paper to your face On another note who's joing mayday? ME ME MEEEE! Actually can a mod be nice and move this to the lounge.. dumbass me posted in the wrong thred
  14. I know the Thred is a little old but god I haven't logged into this site since the start of the 09 season LOL. But I agree with AJeff, a few weeks prior to the end of the season a bunch of us "security" guys had tickets we weren't going to use. A really nice lady that works in the Valley Ticket Office... "We call her the Ticket Nazi because she dosen't take shit lightly when dumbass customers make a fuss." I forget her real name but anyway I asked her if we could sell our tickets out in the parking lot and she said that they are our tickets and we have the right to do anything with them. I had 2 tickets, sold them in 8 minutes after getting to the parking lot after my shift one day... made 60 bucks... $30 a peice for all day ticket... cause im nice. So not ripping off blue mountain whatsoever.. they didn't have to give us the tickets after all. Trust me when I say there was HUGE inside scams bigger than employee ticket crap.
  15. Yeah what happened? They must have pulled something out of their asses because grooming has been substantially better over the last week than the "normal" grooming they produce.
  16. Blue was on the News my Friend Reported to me saying Blue Mountain set an all time record for the most people on the Slopes in One Day. Congrats Blue!!!!!
  17. If everything cooperates, should be ready Next Weekend.
  18. I'll repost this here for Shits. This is where it belongs. The Place was a Shit Hole today man.... Dave said it was a Record setting Day, I believe it! After my 7 Hours of Servitude I did 2 runs top to bottom which was Icy Mile (which it all was, only a fraction of pow on the sides) to Lower Sidewinder which was ice and Central Park to steeze out on the 30 footer which had the best conditions. Did a Vista Midway Main St run which was of course all skied off like Icy Mile only pow on the sides. Then checked out Come Around which was just as icy. And to top it off dodging all the Gapers like Frogger was bad enough. All the snow was skied off every trail I was on... Besides Tuts, Terrain Run & Central Park. Some Blue Jean mofo and her friend had the nerve to complain while Me and My Buddy were in line for Vista saying quote "I HATE Blue Mountain, It's always crowded and the Trails are always Icy" I overheard her and I said Then don't fucking come on a Holiday Week jackass. Don't put down Blue the True because you can't make it here on a Normal Day when there isn't 23 people per 50 foot Radius to dodge. Pisses me Off.
  19. gotta be spots around 5 feet deep of powder under each gun all the way up the trail... I say next weekend they will be good to go.
  20. I must have scanned close to 400 tickets. Bought Tickets to Season Passes was like 20 to 1. they made a Shit Ton of Money. Record Setting day at Blue the True.
  21. Man nothings harder to Ski/Ride on Bulletproof Ice while Playing Slalom around Human Obstacles I did see a few Kids shred Sidewinder while going up the 6 Pack. Sweet Deep Powder.... Blowing on the Trail all Day.
