  1. Lift lines haven't been an issue at Blue so far this season. I truly believe that reduced consumer spending since the election has been hurting them. The runs have been plenty crowded though as they still don't have 4 major runs open. Definitely gonna be sugar and ice this weekend anyway you slice it or dice it.
  2. Ski2Live have you ever arrived at blue for opening? 7 run per hour pace first two hours. Montage has a geographic disadvantage. It's farther from Philly, NY and NJ than the pocono areas and the local population is pretty poor. I don't think they turn a profit from skiing. Remember all the ownership changes in the past decade. I remember hearing about employees paychecks bouncing back in the day. I have heard they do really well with their summer concert festivals. I have no idea how their waterpark does.
  3. My helmet is older than some of the middle schoolers at Blue Thursday night..funny but true.
  4. Nice pictures!!! Any crowds? Looks empty from pictures. This is a pretty slow week at ski resorts.
  5. I know that montage is less crowded than elk on a holiday.
  6. Nope but I hope blue starts getting more business or Barbs Bush won't open for another year. That's the new trail. I heard they barely gave any lessons Xmas week and we're sending instructors home early on Saturday.
  7. My last da Kine gloves last me like 7-8 years. Before that I had Swanys which are crap.
  8. PASRs seem to like Hestra gloves..cost $100-150 but last many years. I've always used Da Kine gloves which are more like $75. I'll won't do mittens..not as good grip
  9. Moe Ghoul how cold was it this morning at Smuggs? Temepratures in PA were very vernontlike today. Vermont weather without the drive
  10. Thanks for the bump Moe Ghoul only 16 days till Jackson hole. 22 feet so far this season and a couple more forecast for this week. TP4 will be in the house maybe my Montana friend Tom and Doobie Don.
  11. Hey All, I'm back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 730am and it was 13 degrees with moderate winds. The snow guns were blasting on nightmare-Dreamweaver, razors edge, switchback, sidewinder and random areas. In the house were Johnny Law, VTMark, TP4, NMSki, Indiggio, Root, GSSucks, Matt Edge, JFBB Dan, Tarponhead, ZZSlope and many more. First run on challenge was super good. Nice soft packed powder but unfortunately it was closed for the race team by 8:11am. Main Street was nice and skied that many times. Paradise was alright but little slow and contested near the last left hander. Lazy mile also had nice soft powder. I didn't ski the bumps but from what I heard they were scratchy but still fun In the lot had some beers was actually colder in the hill then in the lot and I brought some WaWa soft pretzels which were kept in a cooler to keep from freezing solid. Yeah the winds got stronger and the sun came out. Our friend Ally who's a ski instructor chit chatted with us for awhile and provided some parking lot laughs and I stuck around till a little after 12...now back in the A and already up into the mid 20s but I believe it will be single number temperatures tonight so the good snowmaking will continue. Maybe I'll be back tomorrow night. Pretty fun day today.
  12. I still haven't had a waffle from the waffle cabin and Jackson hole has one at the top of the tram in corbetts cabin and I haven't had one there either. They have a peanut butter and bacon one that sounds good.
  13. I was calling Tuts lane the high traverse the other night funny but true lol. I always used to think it was named after king tut like at camelback but no it's actually named after the late owner Ray Tuthill. Reminds me of the Steve Martin song King Tut...born in Arizona moved to Babylonia King tut https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wgTPH5y1-ZI
  14. Have fun and dress like an astronaut.
  15. Phillycore you get your tooth taken care of. Sounds like you need a root canal. Dress warm tomorrow.
  16. Sounds like you are having a blast!!!!
  17. Nice pictures Ridge any lifelines and where are the conditions nice?
  18. Thanks for the updates sounds pretty good up at Elk!! 56.8 miles per hour what run was that on?? Don't think I hit over 45 mph at blue today. To many people and also snow wasn't particularly fast. When I'm 66 I think I'll ski at fast on groomers. Not in the chop
  19. Forgot to mention that we hungout with Enjorales and his dad in the lot for awhile and Enjorales actually knows ILikeIceCream from the roller coaster community. He hasn't been out skiing the last few years because he had back surgery. The two times I skied with ILikeIceCream were definitely memorable was like 4 years ago.
