  1. It's almost the weekend. Who's gonna be at blue mountain the true mountain this weekend???
  2. Yeah didn't I say I'll be back Saturday and Sunday mornings. Not skiing tomorrow I don't think.
  3. Hey all, I'm back from my first time at Blue mountain in two and a half weeks. I arrived at the lower lot at 650pm it was in the low 40s. Not many cars in the lower lot but about 20 buses across the street. Atomic Jeff arrived a few minutes later. Booting up was sort of anticlimatic as it was the first day at blue after 9 days skiing Jackson hole. The snow was pretty soft and slushy to start but set up over the next two hours. First run was my first nightmare to dreamweaver of the season. Was pretty good except for a few random bumps and some crowds. The Johnny law joined us for another nightmare to dreamweaver. We then hit up switchback which was busy and dark not as good. Lazy mile was crazy Mile and challenge was more hard packed. A shame that razors was closed for the big races this weekend. Near the end of the session we ran into MBike Mike, Nastar Glenn, Matt edge and theDude4Bides. Did Barneys bumps once and the troughs were deep and the bumps hurt my broken pinkie toe. The waffle sandwich stand is also open for waffle sangs. I don't think I'm gonna ski but will be at blue Saturday and Sunday mornings for the fresh cord and beer drinking.
  4. I think two seasons ago and statistically based on skier visits they have a death every 2-3 years. There's approximately one death per one million skier visits or about 50-60 per season in the United States m
  5. They always run both 6 pack and quad on Sunday's. Momskeez are you retired? You're lucky you get to ski blue so much midweek during the day. I wonder why razors is closed. I still haven't skied switchback or challenge or nightmare to dreamweaver. I'll be getting to blue at 655pm for some night moves.
  6. How much snowfall did Harrisburg receive? You check out Liberty, round top or whitetail yet?
  7. Someone on the morning call Facebook page said he was wearing a helmet. Someone also commented that this is why they hate skiing cause it's dangerous. Hmmm does the person hate care cause 35,000 people in the US die every year in car crashes.
  8. Nice to see blue is remaining number 1!!!
  9. Yup and 730am openings and spring fling. Ray and his wife used to hangout in the main cafeteria. For being a multi millionaire ski area owner he was very blue collar...Used to own a construction company who he put to work to build blue mountain and kept on during the winter as liftees and maintainance he was a great guy a little bit like the greatest generations version of TP4. I'll make sure to mention him often. You aren't truly dead until people stop talking about you. Wrong forum
  10. Not good...they should remove the lift from the trai map if it never runs. KCSki is prob shaking his Herman.
  11. He created my home mountain!!!
  12. This proves that you and VTMark are PASRs most dedicated and you took a risk in driving up knowing they could close at any second. Props to blue for being open. In the day Tuthill days I was able to do a two month streak due to always being open even in bad weather. I figured Wednesday nights are a big night for school groups. They'll sell a lot of fries and hot chocolate
  13. Gotta stay open for the school groups. At least two of those kids are gonna order fries.
  14. I'm looking at flights to Colorado in April and direct flights Newark to Denver are going for as low as $112 each way.
  15. Congrats on being at 41 days so far. Reminds me of some of the seasons I had several years back. If you do some travel in April 100 days is possible. I skied 119 days in 2006-07. I didn't even ski that many days when I was a skibum cause I cherry picked days.
  16. Bumps on challenge look good.
