    On topic with Vermont. Ok so used to offer a free hour from 8-9am and with their fast lives locals could hammer out 5 runs before going to work for free or somebody at the end of a ski trip could get a few extra runs. You could stretch that hour out by hanging at the summit lodge after last ride drink some cocoa with mini marshmallows and then explore some woods..can always remove skis and slide down on your butt if they get too spicy. Unfortunately no more free hour at okemo.

    Abasin allows skinng beginning at 530am. Some of the early rising locals like doing dawn patrol before work. The same with Mad river Glen. I know Jackson hole no longer allows skinning during ski area operations. Some of the cat tracks at JH have nearly blind turns and are narrow and could be serious carnage to an uphill skinner. At Jackson hole they'll arrest you if you skin uphill..imagine the liability of a skinner swept away in an early morning avalanche or blown up by an Avie bomb.     My shiros fucking rip and they are burly and also nimble and turny..I'm burly(fat) and also an agile mofo..when I'm channeling my inner Usher on the dancefloor or skiing the woods..I'd demo an RTM in a 184..and lay down railroad tracks..I wonder how they are in the bumps..

    The really good run of avoiding washouts on weekends is over and per usual Mother Nature doesn't like TP4 I don't think that much base will be lost with today's rain..maybe 6 inches. Tomorrow night the temperature is supposed to drop below 20 so operation blizzard 2.0 will go into affect. Be glad it's before presidents weekend so Blue will go full strength on snowmaking vs spot snowmaking that occurs later in the season..One cold night will cement the base into bulletproof hard pack or what optimistic snowmakers like to call machine groomed packed powder. Just a little bump in the road with spring skiing on tap for Wednesday and Thursday and back to winter for next weekend..everybody have fun doing laundry today.

    You just need to buy an alpine touring setup..maybe mount some marker Dukes on your Elons..Toast can help you with skins...that would be badass.

    I was just thinking $100 per night lodging and $100 per day lift tickets..maybe a little less than that but then a lesson as well and waffles, mussels, salad bar, mcdoogles, calzones, wings, Capri sun, coffee and new gloves..plus gas, tolls, ferry ride...The ben and jerrys tour and seeing the mural in Burlington with me on it essentially free. I don't really think about food costs on a ski trip because when I'm at home I also spend money on food..not as much though.

    Salty any idea how much money your trip cost you? I'm guessing maybe $1500 total maybe a few dollars more since you took the ferry.

    Salty you don't sell a ticket in the ticket line. You sell it in the parking lot. You're lucky you didn't get in trouble selling by the ticket office.

    Well tha ski resort lost out. It's equivalent of a a.bartender hooking up customer that tips well. Customer and Bartender makes out and the owner gets screwed.
