Where can I get some P-tex, (would the loft cary it?) and does any one have any tips for application? I bught some wax then I relised how badly gouged the bottom of my board is.

That's a good point. I was thinking more along the lines of people who go more often have more oppertounities to injure themselves.

If they dont ride that often they don't realy have much say in wether or not someone should where a helmet, When you ride a few time a week there is much more risk of injury than if you go a few time a year. And if they don't ski or ride their oppion is unimportaint anyway.

.bmp stands for bitmap it is the standard windows image and is waht is saved when you draw a picture in paint. .gif is Graphics Interchange format and .jpeg stadns for Joint Photographic Experts Group. Gifs and jpeg are used for internet images gifs are generaly used for simple images and animation and jpeg is used for pictures. If you open the image that is a bmp you can usualy change it to another format by changing the file extention, but you might lose some image quality.

their snow cam is annoying some times it is realy clear but others you can't see any thing.

They probaly want to make as much snow an those trails as they can. There's now point having the whole mountian open if its only 2 inche on every trail.

Why are they opening on a saturday! I can't use my season pass! I hope to get up sunday or mondy at the latest. I saw the lights on tonite. It was an awsome sight, I had to keep myself from staring at it through the rear window while I was driving.

There were huge bumps one day after a snow storm on the rocket last year(i think). And I have seen them riden them on ocasion on all of the other blacks. I dont think they realy even need a dedicated bunp run. Let one trail get bumped then when It gets unmanigable groom it out and let another trail get bumps that way it adds some variety to the mountain too. Also bumps on a trail will keep beople who think they can snowboard from scraping all the snow off the trails.

I realy don't think that snow making this past weekend will make much diffrence. Except maby a few inches of base. I aggree that making snow would not have been very prouctive. It would have been a nice gesture though.

Yeah the swith step in they have for rentals are horribal. with mone teh boots touch the board and you get a good feal with it. But I'v seen some were the boot is like an inch off the board and I can't imagin that is good.

I've never had the sep ins come out, (excep onec or twice when I diden't put it in right but I've never had to chase it.)

I've never had straps but i think the step-ins handle fine and are very responsive. I have rossi high back step-ins and I like the design. But they are a pain to get in when it's slushy or very powdery. The next snowboard i get I'm going to get straps though.

I put steel step in only because thats what I use. I can't give an oppion on srap ins but I would deffinatly trust metal more with step-ins. I don't think the same would be true for stap-ins though because diffrent forces are involved.

The first question was serious and the second one is half serious, thats good cause the iron i have has holes and I got it for $5 so it dosen't matter if they get cloged up.

ops. Why can't it be an Iron with holes in it? If I cover the holes with a soda can do you think it will explode?

For any one interested in starting to hot wax their own equipment, you can get an iron at walmart for just over $5.

My firsrt run was just a test I had just enough snow to turn the ground white.

That's an awaome gun! I made a tiny amount a while ago. Skifreak has better guns than me I think he made a couple inches already this season. I made some modifications to my tee gun the last time it was cold but the temps rose and I hasen't been cold enough again yet. I hopeing for some snow making towards the end of the week.

I use wetherbug because its there and I'm lazy. Right now it says I can make snow soon!

I think making a giant snow ball for the base then putting more snow on it to shape it would work good. that would give you a nice solid base
