It was snowing before but it seems to have stopped. We just got a dusting here but it's deffinitaly a good sign. At least its not r@ining any more.
-
The fog was realy bad today. I don't even want to think of what it is doing to the snow. On the bright side there for at least the next week. Looks like some 24hr snowmaking too.

So I've been trying to do 270's off the box at CB but I can't seem to get the spin around all the way. I Know we have some good riders on here and I would like any tips on how to do 270's off a box or rail (or on to one). I would appricate your help. I snowboard but if any one has tips for skiers I shure someone would benifit from it. Thanks.

I don't know mabey I just can't tell time.
-
Ok mabey its not an hour but its close. I'm probaly at least 20 miniuts from East stroudsburg. My point is it's a lot further to Blue than Camelback.
-
You guys are lucky that you have that option, for me its like 5 miniuts to CB and an hour up to Blue. So I can't just switch Mountins when ever I feal like it. Well I guess I could go to Shawnee of Alpine, but thats not going to happen.

That wistle is realy annoyiong sometimes. I mean if you are not paying attion to them then they should blow it at you but some times you are doing what they tell you and they still keep blowing it. I think they could stop once they get your attion.
-
Just standing outside yesterday you would hear branches cracking and falling down every miniut or so. It was pritty bad. But on the bright side we've had 3 days off school and now its the weekend.

Who cares if they have a hotel That just means more tourists.
-
Yeah that made me wonder if they hired a 10yr. old to do the captions. Mabey there just tring to apeal to the idiots who would think that was cool.

My Faith in the Dumbness of CB has Been Restored

Some times it is realy hard to tell when the pipe is open most of the time they have the fence at the top and if they just put closed signs in front of the fence it's going to be hard to notice. Alos you are right, it is deffinatly not you fault that someone else moved the closed signs. The Ski patrol should be more consered with putting the signs back up than catching some one that is unknowingly in a closed area. He probaly just saw an easy target and went on a power trip. -
Exactly. I would do the same thing. Another story about stupid people. Aperantly some idiot on a snowboard wanted to get out of the lift line so he kind of walks/rides over a bunch of peoples skis. I wanted to see them just knock him out. People are stupid.

The other day I saw my soccer coach at CB. This kid I was riding with ran over the back of his skis. You should have seen the look he got. It was like "I should kill you now."
-
That weird it's usualy the other way around. That a good thing though. I want to get up there this year. They realy should have something you could start off on though.

It looks like real snow now In Reeders. (Near CB)

Yeah. There is no excuse for driving reclessly, expecialy through the crowded base. If you contacted higher management I'm shure they would do some thing. The last thing they want is to be sued. Or worse be all over the news because one of their employees killed someone when it could have been easly avoided.

So CB has fairly good cover. Where there is snow it is like spring skiing. Except if you turned left off the sullivan lift there is a big area of pavement showing through the snow. It's kinda funny, untill you relise that there is no snow. Then it is sad .

I have to head up to CB tomorrow so I'll let you know how the conditions are tomorrom after all this .

Here's the inside of the glue gun I have. It's a bad picture but you can get the idea. I had an idea of instead of a suped up element I could just modify a utility lighter to heat it up for me. Probaly a fire hazard but it should be fun. I promise I won't
-
I do that too. As soon as rangers come into view I become a well behaved snowboarder. I'm realy paranoid too and think there going to pop out from behind trees and stuff so I'm always looking be hind me to see if there are any comming. 2 years ago me and a friend would always ride through the woods and do lots of stuff that would get us in trouble at CB. We never got cought untill one day my friend goes through that thing right after the sulivin lift that all the tourists go through and think they're cool. I saw the ranger behind him but he diden't. He only got a warning though.
-
Yeah but doing a McGuyver on a hot glue gun is more fun
-
I think thats the Montage Safty Awareness team or something like that. There like the rangers. If they can clip your ticket they're EVIL!
-
Yeah the trigger moves and then you need some thing to keep the nossile thing from pushing out forward. Just to clerify myself when I said casing I ment the whole outside of the gun that holds all of the parts in side. By the way the gun I have is from the dollar store. Good for experimenting, but the highest quality.
-
You would need at least part of the casing to hold the moving parts you could probly cutsome holes in it and fan cool the element. I will get some pics up when I find the software to install the camera. Or my sister gets off the other computer.
-
Ok. I'm Still alive. The one I have, is just wires going into two contacts That are placed on oppisite sides of some kind of metal. No other components in side. I don't know what kind it was but I'm assuming that was the heating element. It looks like you could get a hotter element in there, but then you might melt the casing. It's probaly doable if your careful. I can get pics if you want.
