BLACKCROWE Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 I just found out today that my best friend has closed on a vacation house in the Poconos. I have an open invite to come up anytime I want. I have not skied the poconos for a good 10 years or so. I really need to know if any pocono resorts offered bumps last year and which resort would be my best bet to get at least 1 good, long, quality bump run. A real bump run - not just an ungroomed run but a run with a few lines in it. thanks a lot.
skifreak Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 Barney's Bumps at Blue and I think camelback has some bump runs. I haven't been to Camelback in awhile though so don't quote me for sure.
Schif Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 Sno Mountain usually has bumps on the bottom of the mountain. Not the longest there is but decent. I think the best bet for you would be Tunkhannock at Elk.

Glenn Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 Why are snowboarders responding to this thread?
toast21602 Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 Blue Mountain definitely has one of the longer and better bump runs on Barney's Bumps. Towards the end of last year, they also had the entire left side of Challenged bumped up until the headwall of Falls, which was very nice.
phillycore Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 ELK has a better longer bump run than Blue... of course it's probably not anywhere near your friends vacation spot. Blue is really your only other option... don't expect much though. Luckily for me, I don't particularly like the bumps..
Mixilplix Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 Why are snowboarders responding to this thread? Runnin bumps on a board is a lot of fun.
ski HEAD Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 Sno Mountain usually has bumps on the bottom of the mountain. Not the longest there is but decent. I think the best bet for you would be Tunkhannock at Elk. I agree here, Sno's bumps on white lighting are good and they usually let the right side of boomer to bump up. A good thing last year was that the blew a lot of snow on the bumps on thurs and fri nights so sat mornings are real good. But as good as Sno's bumps are, Elk on the Tunkhannock and Lackawanna are far better and way longer.
