skifreak Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 Those pics are awesome, and she is looking good! That much snow falling during a race is not good, because it doesn't make the course hardpack and it makes it real hard to make and hold an arc.

As it turns out, she wasn't carrying enough speed for a really long flat section, in spite of the fact that when this picture was taken she was plainly attacking the course. She finished, but not as well as we both hoped. Her tuning was handled by a professional ski tech (our team pays for this at FIS races), so it shouldn't have been a tuning issue. All you need to do is bleed too much speed at the last gate before a flat section and you are sunk.
