skifreak Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 (edited) Looks like they changed the color scheme on their site. Also looks like they have the new brouchures ready to go. Edited August 3, 2004 by skifreak
AtomicSkier Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 daveyj does the designing and its sooo bad, it looks like a summer site...blah
nick malozzi Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 that entire site is horrid. fonts are putrid, color schemes are totally off, and the addition of red is just nasty. not to mention it is very porrly organized. one word daves FLOW CHART (ok maybe 2, lol)!
AtomicSkier Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 someone should call the web design police
sibhusky Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 I have to admit, I don't like the red because it doesn't feel like ski colors to me. But the main thing I hate is advertising things like Subaru. I mean, can't they afford to cover the costs of the site without help????
nick malozzi Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 well they prolly arent getting money for the website by advertiseing on the site. however i am sure it was in a contract somewhere with subaru that they had to advertise for them on all media outlets in order to receive whatever large lump of money they got. so yes, in turn i guess it helps pay for the website, but whate i am saying is i am sure that they are getting enough money from them that the website isn't the only reason it is advertised on there.
chrisjur Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 Wow, those Daves really know how to use that Microsoft Frontpage well...

AtomicSkier Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 Wow, those Daves really know how to use that Microsoft Frontpage well... couldnt have put that better myself chris, hahahaha daveyj impressed me with his decent PHP skillz in putting together the upload script w/ the auto resizer, too bad he bought "php for dummies"
pyro_boarder Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 Are they color blind? That red background is awful.
romemadman Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 they just keep losing customers by their stupid decisions
skifreak Posted August 5, 2004 Author Report Posted August 5, 2004 Did you ever notice they almost never miss a day of daily pics for camelbeach but they skip for days on camelbacks daily pics.
romemadman Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 an do u guys notice how on almost every bilboard they r advertzed on is for camelbeach
AtomicSkier Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 an do u guys notice how on almost every bilboard they r advertzed on is for camelbeach thats cause its summer, they'll be changed to camelback in the winter
romemadman Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 even in the winter half of the sign is ccamel beach
insomniac Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 Thats horrific, they need to hire a professoinal designer
nick malozzi Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 lets do a little math.... professional designer=MONEY CB= owned by cheap ass shareholders with no desire to reinvest profits CB+Professional designer= MONEY owned by cheap ass shareholders with no desire to reinvest profits. lol so when you add the two it just dosent work!
AtomicSkier Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 9x, who designed ridecamelback.com made a really awesome design prototype for skicamelback.com, it blew my mind, but of course, CB wasn't interested
romemadman Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 they r so cheap u prob see dave k trying to paint camel beach on the billboardthen breaks the ledge he is standing on
pyro_boarder Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 The site isn't that different they just added that horrible background. Red and tan don't go together.
nick malozzi Posted August 9, 2004 Report Posted August 9, 2004 we arent saying it is any different, simply comenting on the continued use of a poor layout and design that they are trying to pass of as new with a new backgroud color.
skidude Posted August 15, 2004 Report Posted August 15, 2004 Hehe I think I need to see how badly they killed the new layout
