He has a point..Tubes will slow down a lot once it gets too warm. HOWEVER ski areas counter that by putting salt down on the lanes (yes, they do use salt for warm snowtubing days). They also use salt out on race courses on a warm day. It sucks out all the extra water from the snow, and makes the snow harder (and faster).

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!

if we are being technical...but=south of pononos, elk=north of poconos
-
You need working papers signed until your 18...BUT if you are working now, you should already have them signed...And as far as I know, you don't need to get new ones for each job....
-
Blue is as far out of the poconos as elk is...>Its just that blue and elk are south/north...

I know a few of them...And there pretty nice guys (and ladies)...Haven't had to use them for stolen gear (yet)

The lift part is weekends only I think. Anyway, I'll be finding a way to sneak on and terrorize people on Nile if they do go threw with it

sales@skicamelback.com Send them an email....I promised one of the marketing people I wouldn't harrass them too much before ski season started

There are a few signs around that say no going off trail, but I have done it, and never got crap for it...Just make sure theres snow around

No, for whatever reason, snowtubing always opens the same day, or the day before the mountain does...Least in the last few years.

Hopefully if thats open by thanksgiving, They are open the weekend after (I plan on being up in VT/NY for most of turkey day break...so hopefully it won't matter for me.... Gotta love driving a $500,000 SNOW groomer on dirt...

I am pretty sure instructors get $7/hr (while working) with a $.25 raise every winter...So I would imagine park crew would be a little less (since you probbably get paid for the whole day)

And Camelbacks very own Randy Detrick (voulenteer coach, and racer) came in 15th in that race, and 14th in the other slalom race. Sadly the GS races got hit with the 50 point penatly so it didn't even help him. Randy also was the FIRST non FIS racer to place in one of the GS... 1 5006267 SCHWING, NATHAN 1979 Intermtn 25.38 27.01 52.39 0.00 50.00 2 5260872 WEIBRECHT, ANDREW 1986 Eastern 26.04 26.69 52.73 5.65 55.65 3 3389301 SCHLOPY, ERIK 1972 Rocky 26.02 26.95 52.97 9.63 59.63 4 4725966 VONN, THOMAS 1975 Eastern 26.13 27.20 53.33 15.61 65.61 5 4991733 MARSHALL, CODY 1982 Eastern 26.32 27.34 53.66 21.09 71.09 6 5136775 LIGETY, TED 1984 Intermtn 26.14 27.88 54.02 27.07 77.07 7 5382619 HARDEN, BRADEN 1987 Eastern 25.78 28.33 54.11 28.56 78.56 8 4623815 KENNISON, SCOTT 1978 Eastern 26.61 27.73 54.34 32.38 82.38 9 4710505 DETRICK, RANDY 1976 Eastern 26.41 28.14 54.55 35.87 85.87

One of them this year was 4.2 or something...But then they bumped it up to 50..>I guess last year the course was legal, but this year it wasn't. I had a few killer runs at Elk, and everyone was like what, where did that come from...So hopefully I can have a few killer runs whereever I go this year

Ski, great post... Just so you know, the days of supper low slush cups are over. USSA made a rule that will make all the slush cups have a minimum penatly of 25 points...Which is a lot better than PA races, no question, but after 200 people ski the courses, I will probably have the same total points. the only thing to do is lower my points more this season, so in the slush cups I'm not starting 200th!!!! If most of the team is going to the PA Cups (which they probably will) then its always fun...Even if you don't have a great race...So I'll probably end up doing that.

Zaldon uses his day goggles, and just puts a headlamp on his helmet....
-
I thought you qualified for post season races by doing well at the finals....
-
You will notice it do the most when you are out on a day thats 55 degrees and the snow is slushy....
-
Well the big thing about the first 4 PA cup races is that you had to do well in them to qualify for the finals...Now I don't even need to ski in PA, and I can still make the finals. Makes it a whole lot more tempting to just race in NY to lower my points, and then come back and race the finals. Stupid move by them.... (and yes, it will be more crowded)
-
PA Cup Finals are now that same as any race...You DON"T need to qualify for them...So it really should be called PA CUP Races 5,6,7.... http://paracing.org/mambo/index.php?option...id=295&Itemid=2
-
Don't even bother walking up to them..Just run dude...THey won't be happy
-
I won't fit in that well, cause I don't plan on falling 3 times before I get on anything
