  1. Since someone asked where the pics were from last week . . . https://vimeo.com/245552881
  2. Yeah, snow doesn't move around very much when there's not enough pitch to make anyone turn.
  3. Yeah, that elbow is also gonna be prime people watching. Post pics and vids for sure
  4. They continually hide their closing information as long as they can as well, presumably so that hotel guests won't cancel while they can still get refunds. Just about every advertisement they place on social media for their passes references the cheapest possible (child's) price with no mention of "starting at" or that it is not the everyone price. Even their opening announcement of one white ribbon of death was preceded by a video full of all-mountain skiing. Sure no one here thought that was their situation by any stretch, but there are a lot of gapers out there that have no clue. Again, I'm probably the Camel's second biggest fan on here now that you'er here, but the place sure seems to be run by dirtbags.
  5. I was just coming here to post the same screenshot. What a shit show it's going to be with everyone having to funnel in there to that lift. Tough to gauge how wide it is from this angle, but it can't be that wide. I almost want to go up there to watch it. Might be more entertaining than actually skiing at Blue. I would actually consider going up there, taking a run, watching the show and then heading to Blue after exercising the "WTF were you thinking opening today" guarantee to get a cheaper ticket for later in the season. But with the limited terrain open at Blue don't want to miss good runs there before the conditions turn.
  6. Every time I've skied the Camel Cliffhanger has been edge to edge moguls. I always assumed that's why the double black rating
  7. Never underestimate Camelback's ability or willingness to intentionally obfuscate the details of a situation when ambiguity of said details is financially adventageous to Camelback..
  8. I think their coverage is going to be very thin in spots. They're listing the base as 8-24 inches. I suspect a dude wrote that report. Seems like a good opportunity to turn a $25 ticket into a $50+ ticket tho. Of course, they'll probably only issue a midweek ticket or a $25 gift card due to the reduced rate
  9. Don't count your turns before your pipes burst. Just sayin'.
  10. Your Friday gon be so much better now, lol
  11. I was trying to find one of the messages on their Facebook page where they were saying that they were glad that other mountains were able to open but they wanted to make sure they weren't opening with just a few trails so I could post this:
  12. Heard the earthquake broke a main pipe at Camelback and now they won't be able to open on Saturday like they planned.
  13. Snowmakers blog says they're hoping for Upper Main
  14. You're screwed. Cable guys suck.
  15. I'll be hitting the party after skiing. 40+ door prizes, might as well see what's up
  16. Maybe for a quick few runs Saturday morning, definite for Sunday. Everyone RSVP for the pass holder party Sunday afternoon? Deadline is today, I think like 5 pm
  17. There are some guns on right now. Valley cam shows some blowing in from the right, and something blowing up above Frontier. Tubing cam shows gun above Frontier clearly. Main St cam looks like some guns on on Upper Main St
  18. Their Facebook post said mid-week rates were in effect, which would be $55. Can't believe their charging that much for what they have open, but then again, at least they're open. Heck, a return to Blue tomorrow would only be $39, and surely the one route open there is better than the one green at Shawnee. I bet you could even buy a $40 giftcard with the 20% off promo, pay $32 for it, then turn around and buy the lift ticket with it.
  19. Yeah, it was a little confusing there for awhile, they made it sound like it was the Black friday weekend special price FOR Black Friday weekend, but their latest post clarified that the can be used all season.
  20. Salty, don't miss that sale on lift tickets Blue is running right now until Monday. You can pick up a midweek for $29 or weekend for $39 and hang onto it for later in the season.
  21. Looks like the all-out assault on the valley has begun.
