Trish over at Pug is NOT charmed by my sense of humor and has attacked me on the women-only forum as well. All fair enough, I reckon. If you're going to joke around a lot, there will occasionally be stuff that doesn't land well and you have to accept Responsibility for that. I do think she assumed malice where it wasn't at all evident, though, and resorted to a public shaming rather than beginning with a private conversation. It's for that that I won't forgive her.

Fun tonight. I arrived about 4:30 to lots of cars in the lot, but lines wete non-existent and trails were not crowded. Some runs (Switch) were scrapey, but there was snow to be had on Main st, Lazy, Paradise, and Widowmaker. Taking a break now due to metatsrsal agony.

Makes sense. I guess I was surprised because Monday was such an absolute ghost-town.

Crowded? I wonder why? College discount tix? I'm planning on heading up this evening, should arrive around 5.

Same; I say hello, and if they feel like talking then I'll happily chat, and if not I keep to myself. I've had some really nice talks with younger people, including one lovely young boy who was deaf, but typed messages to me on his phone, so we went back and forth that way.

I was banned from PugSki for making a joke about snowboarders not being good at chairlift chat.

Just kidding! I went for the cheap gender-stereotype joke there. I'm actually a moderator on the other site and I love it. Have met countless outstanding women who are amazing skiers as a result of being involved in the forum. The threads are incredibly informative and supportive. Hands down one of the best outdoor-sport forums I've ever read.

I figure if you make the effort to track me down then you've earned the information. If anyone wants to stalk an aging cat lady with basically two lifetime accomplishments, then rock on. (1. an impressive and quite accurate jump shot and 2. A high level of skill at parallel parking).

That was outstanding wordplay. Pearls to swine. I had a solid visual pun on Blue's FB page recently when the Ski Patrol posted a graphic on what to carry in frigid weather. It got one like. #robbed

I'm also seeing a women's forum on the side. When the trash talk here gets rough and discussions of eating meat and pooping threaten to send me to the fainting couch, I go there for nurturing and uplifting commentary delivered with multi-layered emotional intelligence and tact. Nah, just kidding, we mostly talk about boys, shoes, and how hard math is.

DW isn't bumped up yet. On days with soft snow, Challenge gets bumped up late in the day, as does main st. Can be a little less intimidating than Barney's.

Maybe an issue of volume versus quality: most liked since 12/08/17!

Went to Aquatopia with some friends recently on free passes. Wasn't as hideous as I thought, but it's kind of lame for an apres activity given that the water is fucking freezing at the swim-up bar and the hot tub is lukewarm at best. Anyone who can afford to stay at that place can afford to do much better.
