Only like 10 ski days or something. No weed for me though.

What gave you the impression that I'm indecisive?
-
Booked American Airlines, non-stop from PHL to DEN, and only paid $16.60. This is great!!!
-
the $117 flight wasn't coming up and it went up to $600 but now it's back as an option so I think I'ma book it really quick. Before it goes away again.

I have no clue what I'm doing. Maybe go to Stowe and ski in rain? Maybe to go Utah and pay extra for a flight? Maybe fly a red-eye Frontier flight and pay for both a carry on and checked bag? Maybe all of the above in the same week?? Big thanks to Enjorales for offering to lend me his ski bag!
-
Thanks!!! I change my mind every 30 seconds during this intense planning. Some of those seconds I just say fudge this, I'm not going. But I think I'll still go. I'll start a thread so the weather junkies can get back to weather discussions. How 'bout these temps???
-
Good point. Thanks!!!

American's policy states: "Your boot bag can be up to 45 inches (length + width + height) and must contain only boots/bindings, helmet and life preserver. If you put anything else in your boot bag, you’ll have to pay an excess bag fee. You may be asked to open your bag at the airport." Sorry to the weather thread for threadjacking. I'll make a trip thread eventually.

American Airlines says the bag can only be up to 45 inches. This bag is 47.5. Are they going to charge me $100+ extra or some BS if it's not exactly 45 inches? I didn't buy it yet.
-
I didn't understand how boot bags work so I took 2 different brand boots off the shelf and put them in the boot bag (see below). Wasn't sure how the helmet fits until the shopkeeper told me the boots go on the sides. First gaper move of my 2019 trip.
-
Yeah my flight on American will only cost me $17 plus $60 to check my boots helmet and RTM. I made a funny gaper move at Buckmans, I'll post the pic when i get free wifi in a half hour

I like having my own equipment cause I hate having to stand in line to rent, especially if I want to go to multiple ski resorts
-
I only go on one ski trip per year and want to ski in the perder. This is great advice!!!
-
Which part shouldn't I do - wear a helmet on a plane, rent skis & boots, or all of the above?
-
Thanks! I was planning on going to Blue Saturday, will let you know.
-
Idk.. thanks for the invitation, was thinking Copper or Keystone, somewhere with Blue groomers.
-
Seriously considering ditching Stowe and making a yolo trip out west next week. Frontier yo. Just have to figure out how the hell to fly with ski gear (???). Like do I pack my clothes in the ski bag so I dont have to check 2 bags? Where does the helmet go? Going to Buckmans later to look @ ski bags.

Last year at Elk I got a squall at 3 pm and it was one of the best times I ever had skiing.
-
Ok, if I can find him. It might be hard when everyone's wearing identical black garbage bags.
-
Wow, that is exactly something I would do. I get annoyed when the lift stops for 15 seconds, can't imagine being trapped for 2.5 hours. No need for me to be careful at Stowe. There's an open hotel reservation for anyone who wants to borrow my license - as long as they look like me, have a similar birthday (or same birthday), enjoy skiing in slop, and don't have a job.
-
Ok. I always strive to ensure thread integrity and on topic discussions.
-
For reference I put an X next to each day that I intended to ski, and did not put an X next to days that I did not intend to ski.

Omg I'm laughing so hard at that. You posted the same picture last year of the dude drinking syrup. That was me on powder day, then I got first in line and my card wouldn't work, so my rapid breakfast consumption was all for nothing.
