Bull. I compared it to my car speedometer and it was an exact match.

Starting this skison there is a high speed quad that accesses some blue and black runs. I learned that from a trail map I got at the Silver Inn lobby while eating self cooked cajun steak at The Mint.
-
I hit 57 mph going down Susquehanna at Elk. That's about 30 mph less than your run down Floyd's but fast enough for me. Now that I'm old (30) I'm fine going 35-40 at most.

Next year I think I'm going to do a full week at Copper and I'll look for bargains. I did this trip on a whim with less than a week to plan and most deals are nonrefundable and require at least 7 days prior, from what I've gathered.

Damn, seems like a lot of deaths this season. My days of skiing ridiculously fast are over.

It was windy as hell, the only lift running in the gondola area was Arrow which goes nowhere. Thanks for the tips, I had a great 3 days at WP. Those runs yesterday in foot deep powder in the Parsenn Bowl were the best and most memorable of my life!
-
I highly doubt that but thanks!

So basically just lean over more. Got it.

Barb, every lift to MJ side was closed. I was stuck at the Gondola. Had to take the stupid shuttle again. Believe me I studied the lift map and asked information desk. Everyone was taking the shuttle. At Steeze's favorite place, the Silver Inn... and no wifi?? What am I going to do all night? At least I saved $20 thanks to Steeze's recommendation to call and ask for a single bed. Thanks Steeze!

No way to get back to Mary Jane lot which is where my rental car is so looks like I'm taking the shuttle again.

This is great!!! But then I'll have to find an upper lodge to take hot cocoa breaks.

Got some fun runs in but today is definitely the worst of the 3 days I skied here (still better than being at work). First run goggles iced up for some reason and couldn't see shit. Got that issue fixed, then did a few runs on ungroomed blues and groomers. Between the insane wind and slow snow it's brutal moving around on flat sections. I found a nice advanced groomed run I really liked, Cheshire Cat, but would have passed out if i had to pole plant to it again. Got stuck on Olympus Express for a while which sucked big time. Now the gondola is shut down indefinitely so taking a break, jadip.

Thanks this is great advice. Next year I'll shop around for the best bargains fo sure.

Well the cheapest I could find for Winter Park was $144 and those were nonrefundable. I have no idea how to get any cheaper tickets than that, if you know of a way let me know.
-
Winter Park I think. Paying window price of $177 (ouch) so ill be cheap tomorrow and maybe do half day at Loveland. Wont get to Copper this time, maybe next year.

That bottom pic is rad. I had a makeshift blue cord from Mohegan Sun casino that I used to secure my GoPro to my helmet in case it fell off. Fortunately it never fell off. I havent used my GoProfessional in quite a while.

That was sick! Did you get to do a run with him? It's great that the video cuts twice to him getting in the lift queue.

Thanks Ridge. No regrets because I knew I would get more likes in CO than in VT.
-
Yeah, without a doubt. The powder today was deeper and easier to turn.

My only regret of today. I was ready to pass out. Pretty good, I've seen a lot of RTMs out here. Though it would be interesting to see how I do with wider skis (even though my RTM 81s are pretty wide)

I murdered the perder. It was epic! Up to my knees I think. After a few slow greens in midafternoon I was bored out of my mind so I went up to Parsonn's and had the time of my life. Western perder isnt so hard to turn in, I found myself seeking deeper stashes before no time.

Following in the footsteps of Lloyd and Harry, TP4 goes to Aspen

I've talked to a lot of great people here also. Everyone has been really friendly and helpful here. -
I no longer have any regerts about skipping VT. Though the powder day i have at Stowe last year was excellent also.
