I hate waking up early. I set my alarm for 6:25 and can get there 10 minutes before first chair which is close enough. When I worked at a grocery store 5 minutes away I would set my alarm for 6:50 am and usually make it on time for 7:00 am. Just wake up, put on my clothes and leave.

That's impossible. I'm lucky if I get there for 7:50.

The problem is it's difficult to break a Fruit by the Foot into two pieces without someone else touching one of the halves. I guess we could both grab an end but then it's harder to separate it cleanly, or the broken piece might be significantly shorter or longer than intended.

Maybe I'll finally get to meet you and we can do First Tŕax together.

That happened to me the last day of the year at Camelback. I did 2 runs and had enough, and afterwards didn't even have anyone to harass in the parking lot.

It's human nature, especially for adolescents, to have the mindset "it won't happen to me". As I get older I realize that yes, it can happen.

It's tragic and my condolences to his family. Cant help but think it was the riders fault and not Blue's, and most people would likely agree. I'm pretty sure the greatest risk of death involved with skiing is driving there, followed by an out of control skier or boarder crashing into you, which is why i try to only ski when the crowds are minimal or nonexistant.

I plan to only ski for the first 2 hours after opening until this so called cold arrives. Who is "they"? When are they sending the cold weather? I need to ski down Razor's Edge on my RTMs before March. Today i was playing The Evil That Men Do by Iron Maiden because the lyrics say "living on a razor's edge" and it's my go to song to listen to while descending that run.

The best is when I lower the bar and it hits someone in the head...like they were never expecting it to come down or something. Now I say "bar" before I do it so they know.

People on Facebook are making comments like "this is why I stick to snowtubing", but I argued that's not entirely safe either and no one wears helmets.

I found an old article where a guy was killed in 2004 snowtubing down Main Street. I'm sure you guys remember that. A guy I worked with at Eagle Rock snowtubed down the double black, which isn't White Lightning but still has some steep pitch. Incredibly stupid. At least he's still alive and even got it on video.
