So I'm reading a Storm Skiing Journal & Podcast interview of Camelback's GM David Makarsky & it mentions nearby Pa. ski areas. "Closest neighboring ski areas: Shawnee Mountain (:24), Jack Frost (:26), Big Boulder (:27), Skytop Lodge (:29), Saw Creek (:37), Blue Mountain (:41), Pocono Ranchlands (:43), Montage (:44), Hideout (:51), Elk Mountain (1:05), Bear Creek (1:09), Ski Big Bear (1:16)" - - (check out link below)

Now I started skiing a long time ago & thought I knew the inside baseball of skiing better than most- but I've never even heard of some of these places! How about you PaSki&Riders? Ever been to Pocono Ranchlands? or Hideout? What's the deal with these little hills? How can they survive if they don't tell the public they even exist?

Though not mentioned, Eagle Rock in Hazleton still operates and is not open to the public - only for residents.

Blue being open this upcoming midweek kinda screwed me lol.  I was totally at peace with 48 days this year, my second busiest season ever.  Now I gotta get in 3 days between Tuesday and Friday, while hoping they have night hours Friday as the day is a no go so I can get to 51

Just go to Blue, Bear Creek and Spring Mountain all in the same day and you can add 3 days to your stats

Are they gonna do the cardboard box derby up in Vermont lol

If they take all the snow on NMDW and then also import 500000 gigatons of snow maybe they can do cardboard box derby right here in Pennsyltucky

Good timing for your Utah trip although you’re gonna miss the season passholder party.  I actually RSVP’d just in case I feel like attending.

It's gonna be 50 degrees in Utah all week supposebly, but I guess there might be some leftover perder out there. I probably wouldn't have attended the season passholder party.

Everyday next week looks like nice weather in terms of sunshine. High of 64 Wednesday and high of 67 on Thursday for Allentown. Sheesh.

This is grate. Time to bring out your tropical plants and animals. I blame the groundhog, Al Gore, and Chy-na.

2016 Carnage on Challenge, had a nice bump  line on skiers left and someone cut me off. I bailed through a deep trough and pow!
Messed up the toe piece  too.

In my early teens I broke a tail just like @saltyants picture a long time ago. Ludicrous speed backseat landing off a jump.

I think you can duct tape that

the only thing pissing me off about these midweek closures is that i'm trying to get her out. doing that on a friday / weekend is probably out of the cards unless it's dead. unexpectedly closing tonight put a big dent in things.

I can't imagine many people are going to ski this weekend. But who knows.

I don't cut my nose to spite my face.  My lone $900 makes no difference to them.

Obviously but how often is the midweek stuff done on the first week of March with full coverage of the mountain?

It's not right, I tell ya! Next time I get a KSL survey for the True Mountain, I'll put in a complaint on your behalf. We're all in this together! Alone we are powerless, but together we can change the world! 🌎

Next season as in bike season? It’s not goodbye, it’s see you soon

Correct except Grilled Steeze doesn't bike with us so I'll see him in November or maybe December due to global warming.

Salty what kind of coffee do you like to drink?  TP4 likes Wawa..I don’t really drink much coffee.  I had one of those mini cans from sheetz the one morning Starbucks double shot was like $4.69 and then I had to poop but I didn’t poop.

I really like the coffee and donuts at Dunkin Donuts. I go there every day. I get a chicken bacon croissant. I get coffee or a Powerade if I'm dehydrated. I sit there all the time. If I have any legal work that I need to do I go there. I meet with my attorneys there. Cheap, classy place to meet up. It's a place you can meet up with your friends.

Update on when Blue will be open…I’m glad we’re at least getting these three days…I think Friday could be busy..hopefully they don’t just run the quad like they apparently did on Monday.

Yes tubing is open Thursday night…there’s a tubing event for city center Allentown residential tomorrow night..can’t cancel on paying customers..wait what are we???  Matt Edge wants to grind whatever is left of the spine..

TFTI. I am going to try to get out one more time to say goodbye until next season. Maybe if it doesn't rain all freakin' weekend I will get to ski the dirty thin cover snow 30 minutes and then spend 2 hours drinking coffee in the parking lot one last time until November.

Sunday was the last day for the race team.  It is disappointing…we had the best winter conditions of the season followed by the best spring conditions of the seasons and just a freaking torch now…if it was at least dry, the temperatures would cool to the 30s or even 20s at night but not happening.

Wait til they close on 3/17 and then the temps stay below freezing for the rest of March. At least the ponds are really full now from all the rain.

Boo had comments similar after seeing the snow base and lot/lift set ups. The kids also now appreciate the detachable lifts at Blue compared to getting their legs smacked from fixed grips.

My favorite is when the lift attendants hold the chairs which then smack into me... Not !
