  1. Correct. It might soften up nicely by mid-morning before it gets choppy (?). First couple runs on corduroy should be nice unless they are nothing but cookies. Correct, took them yesterday as I had to go to W-B and decided it was worth the hour drive to Blue to be able to ski Elan Ripstick 96's on Saturday morning instead of waiting until Sunday.
  2. 12 hours/720 minutes until I pick up my new skis from True Blue, and 12.5 hours/750 minutes until I'm on the 6 pack getting ready to rip down Razor's Edge or Sidewinder on them for the first time. Gonna be hard to sleep tonight, it's New Skis Eve.
  3. Yep but it's slow. I assume Stevenson is open. I'll go to Camelback if they have an alien pass day, but the new management will probably charge $0 to ski and $50 to park.
  4. WJW, $105 to ski tomorrow and Camelback can't keep their main lift running!
  5. Or for someone who's lazy 🙋‍♂️
  6. Thanks, also check out that action shot of Ski2Live. That day I drew a "I ❤️ CB" in the snow on the garbage can and Camelback featured it in their promo video. I was also in that paparazzi picture. You can tell it's me by the GoPro on my helmet. Toast thought I was the rainbow hatted woman for some reason.
  7. I'm interested to see how much faster I ski, but doubt I'll be able to keep up with anyone on here since most PASRs ski like 80 mph
  8. Spot on. They were $130 below MSRP on Curated.com, and came in just 3 freakin' days with free shipping. Great find and thanks a lot!!
  9. This and the sheer speed by which they came does not annoy me.
  10. I only use it in case of emergencies when I'm alone in the wilderness of McAdoo or on my bike in bumfuck nowhere.
  11. Correct but you cant make calls on it. It shows my location to family every 10 minutes and can text thru da satellites. I brought it with me while skiing in Utah since it's very small and fits easily in my pocket
  12. Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully on new Elon Skis both days
  13. I bought the Garmin inReach mini and am very happy with it. The battery lasts forever and it gets coverage everywhere. I do almost everything alone and it's less worrying to have one. It was a bit unnerving seeing the missing hiker posters in 2019 when I hiked 13 miles alone in Glacier National Park. A minor injury can easily turn fatal if you're far from civilization with no cell service. And unless you're doing hardcore camping or backcountry, all you need is the cheapest plan.
  14. I was more annoyed that while I was on hold, twice someone asked "Thank you for calling True Blue, how may I help you?" Never had that happen before while being on hold, and I kept having to explain the situation 😒
  15. So the True Blue website's inventory is fake news. They list the Tyrolia Attack 13 but I called and it's not actually in stock 🤷🏻‍♂️ Looks like I'm getting the Marker Squire 11 instead.
  16. Thanks. The full run took me 4 minutes, so you could probably do it in 3.5 minutes.
  17. Sorry, no commentary on this one. Just me skiing in silence. Correct, that was Friday morning and the first few runs were stellar.
  18. Rad video of me hitting 53 mph on a virtually empty Main St at Snowbasin last Friday on muh Elan Ripstick 96's
  19. Epic Pass is more appealing to me as I can day trip to Jack Frost, Roundtop and Hunter for a change of scenery. Plus a lot of good New England options also. The fact that Ikon Pass doesn't have any PA options makes it less viable for me, though it does have Windham which I've been wanting to check out. I wonder what Epic means by this, or if it's just marketing hype??
  20. Good stuff. Are you planning on buying an Epic Pass? The link below has it priced at $999, but not sure if that's for last year or next year. I've spent over $999 in lift tickets this year so I might as well buy one for Hunter, Stowe and wherever out west (Vail / Breckenridge) 🤠 https://www.zrankings.com/ski-resorts/season-passes
  21. The thread subject does say 3/10. What do you mean?
  22. Thanks. Also will try trading my old Elan Early Rise Rockers in, I read somewhere they give credit for old skis maybe?
