i laugh when i think about how in the hell fantasy football ppl are going to handle all of this.

well it was good while it lasted i guess. i wonder what this means for the rest of the season and how other leagues (mainly NFL) will take this into account. doesnt look promising

Effective immediately, Washington will call itself the “Washington Football Team”, pending adoption of a new name, sources tell ESPN. This is not a final renaming and rebranding for team; this is the name it wants to use until pending adoption of a new name in the future.

Who is even enforcing this and how? Do they make you submit your transactions at the end of the week to make sure each one has a food item on it?
Also what is the long term plan here? Covid is not going away anytime soon (or ever) and not to get all Ned Stark on everyone but Winter is Coming. Outdoor dining will be off the table in 3 months. Maybe not for parking lot meat lovers like us like us, but still. 25% capacity in a restaurant and you can't just pump your highest profit margin product, alcohol, out over the bar to people is just a recipe to close your doors for good.
i guess enforcement is just the threat that if the state finds out, you can lose the business/liquor license (not sure which) and that's a risk that i dont think many bars would want to take.
as for long term, god knows. i don't even try to guess what things are going to be like in the 'next week' term anymore.

What do you guys think about the silly hoops that they are making you jump through to go for a drink now?
i thoroughly enjoy watching the state try to enact things and see bar owners being like 'lol hold my beer (literally)' while they come up with the next loophole.

I definitely don’t want to be one of the early people who are vaccinated.
I'm not an antivaxxer but there is no way in hell i'd let someone inject me with a vaccine that was rushed through development like this. i wonder what percentage of people have the same sentiment.

Yeah, closing bars isn’t going to do the trick
I'm waiting for him to give his official opinion as to whether or not politicians should be giving protests a free pass. He'll never do it tho.

Just got my test done. It is not enjoyable.
what'd they do? I just thought it was a basic swab in the nostril now, not that thing where they used to stick it through almost to your brain.

If it means being able to stay open and selling another $4 beer or $6-8 mixed drink I’m willing to bet a bar would sell $.25 bags of chips.
i read some sort of article a long time ago about a place selling hotdogs for like $5 or some shit with a free beer or something like that. ppl def get creative.
also, club is closed indefinitely.

How does that work? Just a giant bar
Pretty small actually. Horseshoe shape, 20 seats? They made outside accoms recently. Not bad, a few picnic tables. There is food, plenty but food isnt a big part of the operations. its the lack of seating tho, I dunno. Its usually just at the bar. There's an adjoining hall that could prob be utilized.

First thing I said to my wife - sell a bag of chips for 25c with every bucket.

Going easy on NYE and day drinking at the parade is fun though
yeah lots of people love it, i'm probably in the minority. i just can't do the crowds, nowhere to piss because i'd be drinking and, usually, freezing conditions. lmao at goign easy on NYE, that ain't me.
i'd love to actually be in it tho.

Have you ever been to the Mummers parade? They can still have it as long as it’s called a protest lol.
yeah. sitting on the sofa watching it on TV drinking away the hangover from NYE is way better than being there tho.

"Philadelphia officials are expected to announce Tuesday that all large, public events through the end of February will be canceled or postponed."

alleg county has more today than any other day in the last 2 weeks (331) but it seemed underreported yesterday (71). phl is still around average for a normal day so they're prob backlogged a day still. greater phl area coming in strong with 5 of top 6.
ALLEGHENY - 331
PHILADELPHIA - 141
CHESTER - 37
DELAWARE - 37
BUCKS - 32
MONTGOMERY - 31 -

Then 328 is bullshit. Damn.
yeah, prob not bad overall tho. phl mightve been another 150-200. fwiw, this is the same thing that happened the previous sun/mon. not really sure why they're doing it like that.
