Dr Fauci said he doesn’t see kids being back in school in the fall.

nice. no sitting behind the 8:35 am school bus omw to blue while the driver fraternizes with parents instead of just picking up the kids and going ... that is, if blue is open.

But then everyone in the line would be fuk’ed because we all know how that goes.

True, I'd rather ski than not ski tho. Maybe open up an hour early for season pass holders? I don't know.

Hopefully we can all do our part and we won't have to worry about any of it.

Others have mentioned it, but i am really starting to think what skiing might look like for this upcoming season. I guess 2 people might have good distance on the six, but imagine the line?  Gonna be interesting for sure.

If things got really bad, I wouldn't put it past them to install plexiglass or something in thirds on the sixer to fit 3 isolated. Or even 5 pieces to fit six. Maybe leaving half of the chairs without any separation for 2 or less.

Home Depot lone south side Allentown

I usually stock up on their pre memorial day mulch/topsoil sales, comes out to about equal to bulk. Probably will need to buy bulk this year instead. Not happy about it but nothing can be done.

I am starting to miss going to the bar..in the beginning I kind of liked the break.

the idea of forced isolation, not having to feel obligated to go to events or places i really don't want to go to, the complete social acceptance of drinking at any hour of any day and still being able to work is a dream come true. i don't care how long it goes on.

Speaking of which, here are today’s numbers (albeit Monday #’s). Good trends but means squat without universal testing

do you think (or have they already done this) they will do some sort of broad testing on everyone, regardless of symptoms? for example, go into a supermarket or something at random (or perhaps when people vote) and take samples of each person to see how widespread it may be to get an idea of how many are asymptomatic?

i know that test kits were in short supply earlier, so i dont know if that would have prevented it. not sure if that has been sorted out or not.

There has to be an underlying market for recyclables too. If no one wants to take it down the line that might be another reason they are hesitant to take them.

true but i feel like there's always a market for metals, plastics not so much i wouldn't think. but you're right, i know china stopped taking a lot of US recyclables so you might be onto something.

We produce a lot more recycling than garbage

same. just to elaborate on my other post, people are required to sort them first. the workers take a bin of all of the same material and put it into a larger bin in back.

  8. 5 minutes ago, toast21602 said:

    Why won't they take them?

'For the safety of our staff', which I get because the workers technically do 'handle' the recyclables (i put them in a big tote, they take the tote and place the contents with other recyclables). Fast food workers are more exposed than these workers would be though so I don't get it.

What they need to do is get some 20 or 30 yard dumpsters so people can just toss them in. it's getting out of control.

  9. one thing truly pissing me off about all of this is that the trash/recycling center won't take my damn recyclables. i had to start taking full trash bags to my garage a while ago since the shed was no longer big enough.

then i'll prob have to make multiple trips with them when they do open.

then i'll have to wait behind 20 boomers who will hand sort their recyclables in front of me, rather than doing it at home.

    damn it.

Good stuff?  I don’t think it’s that bad there.

they're just deciding to be yellow instead of red, so it's not dropping restrictions entirely. if it ends up looking anything like toast's photo, def not good stuff. hopefully ppl are responsible about it.

Keurig coffee is to coffee like store bought bagels are to @tarponhead homemade bagels!

Forgot about the bagel posts a whil ago, meant to chime in. Best bagel store hands down is the bagel exp in brodheadsville. The key is the water. I was told they truck in NYC public water for production.

That's not to discredit tarponheads, I'm sure those are amazing. Baking pics are on point.

I’ve heard of bang but never seen it.

I know that the sunoco around here has it, along with an exxon. not sure if they have an agreement with the manufacturer or not but i'd start there. those are the 16oz cans. My wife showed me some energy shot style, like a bigger 5hr energy bottle. I'm waiting for someone to start using it for mixed drinks. itd be like 4loko 2.0

That line is nuts. Shit I get angry if I get up before the coffee starts to auto brew. Always nice to wake up to fresh pot rather than wait.

we were gifted a keurig and i miss auto brew and a legitimate amount of coffee so much.

Because I’m not a regular coffee drinker I get pretty caffeined up off coffee and espresso.  Usually I’ll drink a sugar free red bull before I go to karaoke for extra wings. The one Mexican cold brew they sell at Whole Foods is pretty good..it’s slightly sweet and sort of a cinnamon flavor.

black + a shot. only way to go. mexicoffee is decent for a little change of pace but just a cup or two will do.

Agree 100% with your coffee assessment.

what about the beer release part?

edit: @GrilledSteezeSandwich - have you ever tried Bang? I used to drink SFRB too, but this is way better and SF. please don't make some joke about the name.

Yes well in Allentown I know the downtown Allentown location has been closed as well.  With drive thru only long lines as well.  Can’t hate to much some of y’all will wait in line for beer releases.  Starbucks customers are serious loyalists.  They don’t fuck with dunkin or wawa. I haven’t even got Starbucks during this pandemic.

if you like black coffee, never go to dunkin. they only get away with shit coffee because they add a ton of milk and sugar to it. wawa is mediocre. as much as i hate the starbucks aura, it's the only decent place near here (20 min) with good black coffee.

lmao at waiting for beer releases.

What type of person doesnt immediately become self aware of how stupid it is to wait in a line like that?

Someone that wants some stupid shit like a double mocha frappucino with a pump of peppermint and soy milk with a dash of something powdery on top with vegan whipped cream on top of that and no straw.

First cut!?!? I think I'm 8 in. You gotta alternate direction with those circles! But damn, the time lapse is great! I should try and do that next time.

i was going to do it last weekend but we had a fam emergency. the weekend before something else came up. it had to be done today. i do this pattern when my wife is busy and can't mow the front with a push mower. it's too large to mow that frequently prob 3.5 acre of mowable area.

Wow well I guess gas is cheap so YOLO..my work has been cut twice. Two weeks ago and this last weekend.

i think it's a 4 gal tank but yeah it's cheap. personally i think it's bullshit that what i put into a lawnmower is subject to road tax.
