  1. I really hope this doesn't effect the conditions too much this week, as I'm hitting up BC probably on thursday.... Is this affecting the hits in the park a whole lot? Judging I am going up to BC just for their park (and closeness to philly), and if thats going to be bad, I might just head up to blue.

    pole jam

a pole jam would be real sick.
  3. i seen some girl at cb and she had about a 142 board with like a stance so wide she was practically riding on the nose and tail.... i ride my dom at the shortest distance, im 5'6" 120lbs and ride a 146....
  4. Also, the rain effected the boxes a whole lot. Went for a 270 BSLS on the trap box, and completely died. Slipped off the side, smacked my head, and really screwed up my leg.
  5. BC looks insane. I can't wait to check it out, I am going up sometime this week. Jibs are definatly my style, I like jumps and stuff too, but jibs are what I ride the most.
  6. Rode JF today, from 11 till about 1:30. Snow was ok, a bit hard in some spots, but was pretty decent overall. It started pouring raining at about 1, which really sucked.... Tobyhanna Terrain run was pretty nice. They only had some jibs set up, no jumps or anything.... They had: Long flat rail Flat Down rail Rainbow rail Some curvy box thing Trap Box Rainbow Box The other "terrain run" was just ok. They had: Pretty big rainbow box Flat rail Flat Down box Some weird jump that really didn't make too much sense... Overall, it was pretty fun. That flat rail in Tobyhanna was real nice. I hiked that most of the day.
  7. Rode CB 12/24, from 12 till close Weather was real nice, it was actually hot....I rode in a t-shirt the whole day. Snow was nice and slushy and soft, nice for learning some stuff. The terrain park was ok, I actually sessioned the smaller one most of the time. They had a flat box, long fat rail thing, trap, and rainbow set up, along with two tables. In the bigger run, it wasn't that great. They had a half rollercoaster box thing, a half rainbow rail with a pretty dece sized gap from the end, a c box, and two big tables.

    rail

I don't recommend using PVC. It will be ok to some extent, but any grinds that involve egde to rail contact, it will be a problem. Also, PVC is not nearly as sturdy as metal. It will flex and move around like crazy... Look into metal or build a box instead. I've picked up one of those toy store rails and just made my own legs, which are higher and sturdier. Thats a modular rail system for under 100 bucks....

    Whacks Wax

Thats their product name, "Whacks wax". Whacks skimboard wax from Mrs. Palmer, a skimboarding company. I seen this post, and used to skimboard, so I thought you were talking about that wax...

    Whacks Wax

I hope you know Whacks has already been taken by a skimboarding wax company.... http://www.skimcity.com/obi/showdetl.cfm?&..._ID=826&CATID=8
  11. Are you sure? It says nothing about JF or BB being closed on Christmas day, just that it is the "holiday" period.
  12. What do you mean? AHH! Posts were a bit messed up.... Oh well.
  13. Wow, thats an insane set up. Damn gap to BSBS what what
  14. Yeah I'm working on some pics, I'm pretty busy now though, pics will be up later.
  15. Wow, I can't wait for this park. Plus, I will be tearing up the gnar on my new steeze machine, the dom. Snowboarding is my religion. Christmas day = tearing up some gnar while everyone else sits home and plays with their polly pockets and gi joes that santa left them.
  16. Well, I opened my front door today, and a large box fell on me... It was my dom. First off, I must say, this board is sheer 100% pimp. Leather topsheet with etched logos in it? PSHEEE, FOOL! Thats not all folks, its even got a rubber patch "sewed" into it....too pimp for my own good. This board will NEVER see any type of sticker or spraypaint. If ANY punks even slightly mark it up with their edges at the lift line, they WILL pay. Even though I had to miss a day of riding at BC because it came before the weekend, it was so worth it. I made a new post because the other is a bit off-topic....whatever. I can't wait to ride this thing christmas day at JF's park.....
  17. I think yes and no on that topic. I noticed that most mountains DO have more than one terrain park. I think that they should have one a beginner, and the other with lots of pretty big stuff, like Mountain Creek, and then offer one of those passes for you to buy. Many mountains around here do have potential to have a killer terrain park, but don't actually try.

    New Board!!

How are the edges are it? Do they come with a 90 degree bevel all around? I was thinking about de-tuning the nose and tail outside edges (just the part that sticks out), and putting an 88 degree bevel on the rest of the edges, like I've done with pretty much every board I've had.....
  19. I will be riding Jack Frost and Big Boulder Christmas Day and the day after, is anyone going to be there? Also, does anyone know if the park will be open, and with some decent stuff?

    New Board!!

    I weigh 120, and I'm about 5'6"......my gnu was a 147.
  21. We had some nice accum. but it turned to rain....

    New Board!!

Just placed my order for a Burton Dominant in 146...really looking forward to riding this board. Merry Christmas to me My old Gnu was on its way out, and I decided why not now. The Dominant looks REAL nice.....and I know there are some people on here that have one...how do they ride? Is their lots of pop? How does it feel? How does it do on rails, jumps, etc.? All I ride is park pretty much, thats why I got it.
  23. Im only worried about it because it is right at the edge, its not down to the core on actually on the edge itself, its just flsuh with the edge. That could speel some problems with the edge getting all messed up in the near future.
  24. My first day out at blue, and to my surprise, my board got a bit hacked up. I have a chip on my nose's edge...more on the topsheet than the actual edge, but it is still along the edge. How would I go about repairing this? Would p-tex work? Or is this one of those things I should have a shop do?

    This weekend

This Saturday I will be going up to BC to hit up some park for the day....I'm going by myself though. Who will be up there? I want to ride and meet some people from this board
