  1. I've got to ride with you ForumDestroyer one time...along with some other people from here....most days I just go up bymyself and that's no fun......
  2. Did anyone ride lower sidewinder? Was anything good there?
  3. I don't remember seeing anyone....then again I didn't ride at night.
  4. That guy needs to take a reality check, a lot of snowboarders around here think they are pro but would most likely crap their pants if they ever went out west (by the way this is coming from someone who has ridden at Whistler Blackcomb a couple times - poo inducing material).
  5. Gnu Carbon whatever CX3500 I believe its a 149, or maybe a 147 I dont remember. I have Burton Synco bindings, and DC Judge boots.
  6. I'm not sure, but he had a red and black jacket and a backpack on.
  7. I hate the non-respect thing. Today at Blue I had a good day...most people are pretty cool. There was this one guy though, he bombs down the run cuts me off at the kicker, then cuts me off at the box, then cuts me off at the hubba. Everyone is out there to ride. I ride for myself and for fun, I'm never out to impress people. Somedays I'll push my limits and try some big stuff, but somedays I'll just have a completely chill session.
  8. wow, that park looks quite sick.
  9. Something came up, and I can't get a ride back on either saturday or sunday. Is there anyone is going up those days and is from my area that wouldn't mind giving me a ride and two other people back? The two other people don't have any equipment (they are renting).
  10. I have the Judges, and they are, honestly, the best boots I've ever ridden. They are really comfortable, and the stiff feeling does not exist. When I first got these, they did feel a bit stiff out of the box. But once I took a run in them, they loosened up a whole lot, and now they are really flexy. They just feel great. And for the BOA system, it is really good. It takes less time to put on your boots (not that it matters), and it is SO much easier to get them tight. Also, you can adjust them whenever you want, whether its on the lift or even riding. I remember that with regular boots if they felt loose, I had to pullover at the side of the run, unstrap both feet, untie my boots, tie them up again, and then strap back in. Also, the liner is great. It has that heat factory stuff, but I don't use it. It has gel in three areas, in the tounge, which keeps the contact on your shin nice and cushy, in the heel, which is good for shock absorbtion, and in the toe area, which is good on those landings where your feet shift and you toes hit the end of the boot. All in all, these boots are great. The BOA system has given me no problems at all, I think people just don't like it because they haven't tried it. I've ridden a whole season here in PA, and the whole summer in Whister with these boots with no problems at all. The only problem I've had is that the toe from the boot that I rest my board on when I'm on the lift has some tears in the rubber. Very minimal damage - and besides it's something that I've had happen with any pair of boots.
  11. Wow, blue sounds really amazing...I shall be going up to ride on sunday pretty much all day. This year I can see is going to be really epic....we got extremely good conditions for only the first couple of weeks opf december!!
  12. Yep. Just spent the whole paycheck on some gear.... I got me some: Special Blend Cirrus Phatigue Pants - REALLY NICE. So comfortable, and its got that freedom fit stuff which is really nice. Lots of pockets for stuff too. Sessions Diffusion Thermals - I got the pants and shirt...by god these things are comfy. 100% polyester. It allows vapors to pass through, and absorbs sweat (but dries quickly) to keep you cool, try, and comfy. It keeps you cool in warmer weather, and warm in cooler weather. GET THESE! Burton Beanie - Self-Explanitory Anon Mirrored Gold googles - Nice stuff, real soft on your face.
  13. Sundays aren't the restriction. Basically anytime on the weekend is cool.
  14. As you all know, I am from Philly, and it isn't the closest to the slopes.... So I was wondering if anyone is interested in starting a philly area carpool/club thing. Basically the deal is that each weekend somebody drives. We have a schedule....Like one week I'll provide, the next somebody else, etc. The day is Sunday...everybody is usually off and besides most places aren't as crowded on Sunday. There is no set place, just wherever we feel like going, or where we could get a ride to. This sunday I am going up to blue. I've got two seats left in the car (I am not driving though). So far, including myself, there are two snowboarders going. The car is a Toyota Camry, with seating for four passengers and a pretty big trunk. I can fit two snowboards in there, and I am sure two more would fit. Skis would probably fit two, but I think we are investing in some type of rack. So, post if interested.
  15. Spring mountain is horrible, even though its the closest to me (from philly it's about 45 minutes). The runs are extremely short, but ironically, the lifts take forever to get you back up. The jumps there were horrible, they were just large blocks of ice.
  16. Pictures posted in my album, http://www.paskiandride.com/forums/index.p..._album&album=61
  17. Ok, selling off the lot of my old gear.... DC Judge Boots, excellent condition only used two times as I have another pair because my feet grew. Very little wear, just a scratch on the right toe from propping my board up on the lift. Size 10 $200 plus shipping Nitro Sentinel Boots, used only three times, once again my feet grew. Excellent condition, very little wear, once again a little scratch on the right toe from my board. Size 8 1/2 $60 plus shipping Burton Syncro Bindings, I think they are Medium (up to size 10), used for two seasons but are still in great condition. $50 plus shipping I accept PayPal (preferred), but a check or money order in the mail is ok if you can't go through PayPal. I will ship UPS Ground, but if you prefer something else then thats fine too. Or, to save on shipping, you can just come to my house to pick them up instead (I live in Philadelphia), you can bring the money to my house aswell. My prices are all negotiable.
  18. I am starting up a business, called Fifteen Ramps and Rails. Right now I am operating in a Made-to-Order fashion. I am not making anything now, but I am accepting orders. I am making ramps and rails for not only snow sports, but for skating as well. Snow Boxes - I can make virtually any design you can come up with. Standard designs are Flat Box, Hubba, Rainbow, C, and Rollercoaster. They are constructed with a skirting of plywood and have a top surface of Polycarbonate (Lexan). Angle iron can be added to the top edges of the boxes for an additional cost. All boxes are painted for protection, and can be either painted a single color, or with your logo, design, etc. The length and height can be almost anything you want. Skate Boxes - Standard designs are the same as above, with a manual pad as another option. They are constructed entirely of treated plywood, with Skatelite as an option for an additional cost. Angle iron on the edges are standard. Painting is optional. Once again, lengths and heights are all your decision. Skate Quarterpipes, Mini-ramps, launch ramps, etc. - Currently availible in any design you want. Give me the dimensions (height, width, etc.), and I'll build it. Skate and Snow Rails - Coming soon! Like I said, I am now accepting orders. It will not cost you anything just yet to place an order. Once I begin building, I'll contact you and I'll start building your order after a deposit of 50% of the final cost is recieved. Most orders are too big and heavy to ship - and it would cost way too much. All orders can be picked up at my house in Philadelphia, PA. Make sure that you can transport your order in one piece back home with you - I am not responsible for that. Right now I cannot build "on-site", but in the future, I will. To place an order or request a quote, give me an e-mail at logicbomb90@gmail.com. If you have any questions, just post here.
  19. I was going to head up to skim - but I didn't. I'm going to OCMD the 20th with the Family, probably nothing special there but I'll bring the skim just in case.
  20. I heard about the bladder breaking, but my DC's have held up phenominally (*knocks on wood*)
  21. I have the DC Judges, and they are the best boots I've had. I put a ton of stress on them this season, with riding Whistler pretty much everyday in the spring/summer, and afterschool/weekends in the winter. The BOA system is great - doesn't loosen and hasn't shown any problems, Its really convienient. If your boots feel loose you can tighten the up in a second without taking your boot out of the bindings, or hell you could even do it while riding. Not to mention they take two seconds to put on and get tight and confortable. The liner is amazing - very comfy, and the air pocket thing is really good, and keeps your heel in place. The gel in the toes, heel, and tounge is great also - my feet never hurt like they used to after a day of riding. They are a bit bulky, but are definatly not heavy. They are really light in my opinion.
  22. It wouldn't work out, because the hits are side by side, so if you were on the far side of the hill, you'd still have to walk to get to the rope. The hill is small enough anyway.
  23. Because I already have those - last year I built a Flat Box, and a hubba-style box.
  24. After doing a dry run today it still seems that the normal SM4 put out more water then the Mini. I'll probably just use the SM4 for establishing a base and making piles for jumps, and then as the year goes on use the Mini to resurface and add some more snow when its needed.
  25. I've been working a whole lot on my backyard terrain park lately. Here are the plans for this winter: 3-4 hits side by side, possibly one hit after the first (we are looking at a 3-4 definatly, but maybe 4-6 if I can get enough snow) Current Plans are for a C-Box, Rainbow Box, Flat Rail, and a Rollercoaster Box. 100% Snowmaking - Running a Mini SM4 as of now, with a Wye Gun and a SM4 as a backup - If I can get more air and water then I'll run two Mini SM4's. The Mini SM4 puts out just as much, if not more snow than the SM4 with less water and air used, and with a lot more simplicity. With just one it will take a couple of days to get the amount of snow that I need, I am going to need to put more snow in some areas to make a steeper slope to get more speed for the hits, and possibly make a small slope after a hit to get enough speed for a second. My complete snowmaking stats are: Main Snowgun: Mini SM4 Back Up Snowguns: Wye Gun, SM4 Compressor: Eaton Portable 6.5CFM@40PSI, 5.5CFM@90PSI Pressure Washer: Karcher 1400PSI 1.3 GPM, Plan to Upgrade Everything will be lighted for all night sessions Currently there is no plan for a towrope of any kind, the hill is too small for it to be practical. I'll have pics up of my backyard tomorrow - too dark now.... Also, I'd like to have a PASR session sometime in the winter too......I'll keep you all updated for that.
