  1. Ski Movie I, II, III, IV, There's Something about McConkey, Focused, Mind the Addiction, and of course all the other ones that have been mentioned. Oh yeah, Happy Happy is pretty good too (came in freeze magazine).
  2. I definently wouldn't mind that at all. I could hoard a little snow for the my box and rail.

    4frnt skis?

COC will be the best time of your life. If you aren't assigned to Sterbenz, you can always still get coached by him because everything is really freeformed there. If you don't want to hang with your coach and want to go take a couple runs, or hook up with another coach instead, you can anytime you want.

    4frnt skis?

Yeah thats what I meant, just like the Fujatives are a flexy cheaper Public Enemy, but I didn't state it very well. Haha. I'm not sure why I had a problem, they just felt huge and heavy on my feet. They are really solid thick skis, so maybe that was it. I have always skiied thinner skis, and they become a lot wider than the TMs for instance, if I remember right.
  5. Shawnee still has their park open though. The lift may be slow, but at least they have a lot of decent rails and boxes. Definently a nobrainer in my opinion for any freestyle skiers/boarders around the CB/Shawnee/BigBoulder area. Looks like they have some decent stuff up http://www.shawneemt.com/parkpipe/parkreport.html I'll hopefully see you all there on saturday.

    4frnt skis?

Wow, it looks like dynastar is expanding their freestyle line next year. They've got the Big Troubles, look more fat powder style, and the "Nothin' but Trouble" which look probably like Public Enemies are to Fujatives. Pretty Cool. I rode on some 160 somethings MSPS. I could probably have gotten use to them, but I never really thought they were my style. I don't like to work to have to control my skis, even if I do get a little stablity as a bonus. I can definently see how some people would like them more, but it comes down to personal preference.
  7. Spent the first half of today at the last day at CB, but then went down for the last day at Bear Creek. Man I love that place. I landed all of the tricks I wanted to land this season, right at the end. Great Closing day. The picture of that guy on the wall is totally insane! Those walls are hard to do, and I practiced on one for a long long time. It took me a long time to beable to grind across the coping, let alone air out of it like 4 feet. Ridiculous!

    4frnt skis?

Yeah they are great skis. I demoed a bunch of skis before I bought them. I didn't think I'd like them, I mean they are made by Dynastar and I hadn't heard much about them. After I rode them though, I ended up bying a pair. The '04 model is way more reflective than the '05 model. Thats actually their only difference.

    4frnt skis?

Yeah it was started my Matt Sterbenz a pro and a coach at COC. They have a binding that they are working on, and two models of skis that are new this year.

    4frnt skis?

I skied both models of 4frnts and I didn't like them much. I was skiing with the 4frnt binding also, so I don't know how much of a difference that made. They just felt like I was skiing with tanks on each of my feet, but I'm not the strongest guy in the world. The bindings might have been the heavy part too, I don't know. I've got to hand it to them on rails though. I got onto a couple differen't rails super-sloppy (because I couldn't control the dumb things right ) and they just locked right in, even at times when I thought I was done.
  11. Haha, that sucks. If me and The Public Enemy aren't in VT we will probably be there to give it a shot.
  12. We would definently have a lot less skiers on the mountain. Well, Alive ones at least. Lineski, so that was CBs strategy back then too? Offer grass skiing, but only because it would make them more money in the winter?
  13. Yeah, It definently seems like time to put up two. When they take those down it will be three and so on. That would be really funny. If only large PASR stickers grew on trees .
  14. Grass Skis are way, way harder than they look. They are really fun, but the problems are, you can't pizza to slow down, you can't hockey stop to slow down, you can't slide on them, and its really hard to turn them. Also when you start going fast, realize you can't stop, and fall, the ground hurts much more than the snow. I don't know if it was just the pair that I was on, but it was so hard to turn. You'd just be going down and trying to turn, then freaking out that they wouldn't turn, and then all of a sudden, whoom they turn really sharp. They are really fun if you get going nicely and under control. People have told me that they use to do grass-sking at CB way back in the day (with the lift running and everything). That would have been awesome. They said that people broke their ribs to much and then CB became the CB it is today, which would never even consider grass skiing. Too bad.
  15. How hard is that to do? If you come in at a decent speed and lean back a bit does it just work like waterskiing, or is it much different? Wow that could be a lot of fun.
  16. What may happen? Rumor time (although from a reliable source)!
  17. Yeah everything was nice conditions yesterday. The pipe almost killed me though. I hit it in the beginning at a very good clip and aired pretty far out and landed right on the deck, and my whole body compacted into self, it was definently a weird, not good feeling. That was about the end of my day friday . Conditions were great though!
  18. Really? It was there on thursday. I remember because I was looking at it and wondering why it was upside down. That sucks.
  19. Wow that is awsome. The conditions look even better than we were there. Have fun up there, it looks amazing. Linemavericks: Yeah Blackhole is a couple hundred feet beyond freefall, so that makes sense why you couldn't find it. It must of not been open.
  20. Yeah actually I do, but thats beside the point . Hey BurtonGirl. Did an idiot in a black jacket with twin tip skis yell at you or your friend when you were up on Monday in the park? If so that was me . I thought you or your friend was a snowboarder who I had just been riding with in Smuggler's Notch (she snowboards at CB too), but after I called out I realized it wasn't her, haha. Oops. If it was you, nice to meet you by the way .
  21. Wow I've never heard of that before. I'm not really sure I understand, but are you saying that the community has a ski slope, sorta like a country club or something, and they make a whole bunch of snow on it so you can ski late and also let you grass ski on it? Thats awesome! Does it have lifts or a T-Bar or anything? Pretty cool if I understand it right.
  22. All you have to do is go to the top of the center mountain and hop on catwalk for a while. Wait 'til you see the signs and go down. Could you not find catwalk when you went last time? You could ski in the glades without a helmet, but I wouldn't recommend it. A couple people in our group were skiing and riding without them. The chances of smacking your head or something is like 400x greater in dense woods.
  23. Just got back from there this morning. They have some totally awesome gladed runs. The lift lines get really long around noon, so its best to hit up the park, which has its own T-Bar with almost no line. The park is pretty small, and doesn't have many features, but what they do have is really cool. They have three jumps, first very small, then a good 30 foot jump, then a complete monster of a jump at the end. C-Box, S-Box, Kink Rail, Down Flat, Streetslyle Down and Down Flat Down Rails, and a super easy 3 inch of the ground flat box. They have a nice super pipe and a really messed up quarter pipe (at least when I was there). The glades around the triple black were awesome, just watch for cliffs and don't kill yourself . The biggest downside is that they don't have anything but non-detachable double chairs, but you'll spend so much time picking your way through the glades you probably won't mind it much anyway. Have an awesome time!
  24. Bleh... I hate Camelbeach... I seriously don't get it. How much fun can you have waiting in a long line to slowly slide down a slide in a tube that you can't even control? To me, if theres nothing to advance or progress on, its boring (not to mention the slides aren't the most extreme thing ever...) I really hope Camelback stays open late... As fun as mountain biking and unicycling is, I still enjoy skiing more.
  25. I went to Bear Creek last monday and I was totally amazed. I thought their park was way better than Mountain Creeks, though I know many people will disagree. They didn't have nearly as many super high gaps to boxes like Mountain Creek, but the variety was amazing. I really hate height gaps onto stuff, especially the gaps at creek. If you didn't pop super high you wouldn't even get onto the boxes... I watches a couple people not make it and slam themselves hard into the boxes. Their beginner parks were crap too. In my opinion height gaps suck for skis if not set up right. Anyway. There was just so much stuff, I couldn't believe it. Big left and right hips, lots of multi jumps, and a really big double cheeswedge jump. Picnic tables, wall rides, the longest rainbow box I have ever seen. It was like 50 feet long. A triple A frame box, huge gap to massive high C-box with an extension to make it almost completely wrap along to go back up the slope. A cool beginner C-Box, around 3 different Battleship rails, one which was a massive beast. Easy beginner flat boxes from 30-10 feet I'd say. Big Kink rails, a really nice flat down box. People said it was sticky when they were there but it was nice for me. There was a really nice gap to long flat rail, tons of differen't jumps. They had a cool little skiercross course too. Nothing extreme, but fun to just mess around in. They also had a couple super easy flat and mailbox rails for someone who is just starting on rails. Their half-pipe was a little flat for my tastes, but its alright. Better than blue's, but not Camelback's. They also had a quarter-pipe, but I think it was a bit under-vert last time I went. I didn't have enough time to try everything out, but I think it was. Oh yeah I remember a couple more of the advanced rails. There was a super steep rainbow rail, and a huge gap to flat down set up on a big cheese wedge step-down jump. I know I missed a couple of the more advanced features, but bottom line was the place was amazing.
