  1. There was a couple days in CO in there as well. Like I said, awesome season. It wasn't cheap, but totally worth it.
  2. Some shots from an awesome season... 4/13/10 @ Squaw 3/27/10 @ Mount Snow 2/26/10 @ Jackson Hole. Top of the hike to the Casper Bowl 1/19/10 @ Brighton
  3. To be fair I'd bet he could. I believe he stated he just didn't to ensure he stayed healthy and keep the good times rolling.
  4. fyi you will not be getting 4 next year. 2 and then 2 bogo vouchers for mount snow.
  5. nice. I've been meaning to give skiing another go around and this should work out nicely. Just gotta get off for a day.
  6. Sounds good to me. But then you would have to advertise that you had the pipe...would the potential extra revenue offset the advertising costs?
  7. I'm going to get 7 days of riding in Jackson. Thoughts on hitting Targhee for a day? Worth it? Trail map looks legit as well as snow fall. I thought it might be cool to hit it mid week to mix things up.
  8. I don't even want to see any of you CO heads posting your #'s in here.
  9. Headed out Sat morning. Riding Sun-Sat, come home Sun. Can't wait.
  10. $600, ouch. I'm definitely not that baller. Thats kinda what I thought about the tickets though, the people I'm going with have been surfing/making calls all day and coming up empty.
  11. I'm headed out to JH next week. So stoked. Any place to get some discount lift tickets? I believe you guys mentioned central reservations before. I looked into that, and its cheaper but not by all that much. And how about a guide or tour, anyone have any experience doing either of those. I'll be scouring the threads for some info this week, but we were still considering getting a tour guide for a day to hopefully keep me from hucking off the wrong cliff. We ended up getting a room in the hostel fyi. So I'll let you know how that goes. You guys all made it seem like staying in Jackson was the way to go, and I agreed, but the lure of walking to the lift was too much so I wasn't able to swing the vote.
  12. Nice work, some classic pics in there.
  13. As long as I can find my car in the morning I'll be there.
  14. haha, I went in there for gloves. They only had one brand, scott I believe, and only had maybe 3 different kinds. I took a couple laps around the place expecting to find some secret room where they actually had stuff to sell. The tuning portion of the store did appear to be functional and busy though.
  15. I only made it to the Canyon sports in Midvale, but that place is a joke if you actually need to pick up some gear. Big ass store with hardly anything in it. What a waste of space. If you need some gear, check out Ski-N-See, overall much better store and they still have the discount tickets.

Maybe they're not a noob and just trying to make a nice booter at the bottom.
  17. I ran into that booking my recent trip to CO. Book sooner that later though. I waited a couple days and the price of the SUV went up $50-60.

Good stuff. Why is it that the first day snowboarder and the falling leaf always get blamed for ruining the snow, but the first day skier in the power pizza tuck don't get any crap? I'd say both are just as prevalent.
  19. Agree with both above posters. Really depends on the boot.
  20. Kev, Tried to get a hold of you last sunday through here using my phone. Did not go so well. Uber crowded, but still quite sweet. We only rode from 9-12:30 (had to catch flight), and never ended up making it anywhere other than the Mary Jane section of the Mt. But still a great day none the less. Because no one ever took this pic before... Very cool place. Definitely looking forward to getting back there some time.
  21. I'm also out here with a friend for the week. You guys picked a good week to go. I was talking to a guy in the ski shop and he was saying they are expecting around 3ft of fresh this week. They definitely need it here too. I got out to Brighton yesterday, and Solitude today. Both places were a lot of fun, but there are rocks and shrubbery sticking out all over the place. Some heads up on some ticket deals. Get your tickets at Canyon Sports. They have a couple locations, and savings are in the $5-12/per day. But an even better deal is available for Solitude. If you bring them 10 labels off 20oz vitamin water bottles, you can get a buy one get one free deal. So you'll end up getting a ticket for around $40, not too shabby. Think I'm hitting Solitude again tomorrow, and then hitting the bird for the next couple days.
  22. Truth I think some Chainsaw chaps would go nice with a gaper day outfit.
  23. Gents, Sun. 1/24, I'll be ending my westwardly trip in Winterpark. It would be cool to meet up with some of you if possible.
  24. Got to BB yesterday for a nice afternoon/evening session with some friends. Here's the low down: Boulder Park is back in business. Three sets of his/her jumps. They are all in the 20ish ft range. I hit the 1rst and 3rd her variety several times. No problems clearing the knuckle, both were a lot of fun. Saw a couple of the team riders there killing it. Saw a couple nice 7's, and a real nice corked 5 from a couple of two-plankers. They put the super mellow training jibs back into Tannenbaum. I rarely ride that lift and trail, but its so worth it when the little boxes are in. Some superb carnage watching to be had from the lift. Most of the kids on that trail are still figuring things out, but still try to hit the features, which as expected is priceless. There was one excellent series where a group of 3 youngsters were going down, led by clearly the one with the least experience. The kid still took a run at all 5-6 features. He would hit one, fall down hard, get up and go after the next one. By the time he was approaching the third box, we could hear his friends saying "don't do it, your not good enough yet". But he kept on trucking. Good work kid. Freedom is still in the same configuration. Still fun, but could use a make over. Snow is still in awesome shape. Only a couple icey spots towards the beginning of the night.
