  1. Alta, Sundance, PowMow, Solli, Brighton Not alot of hiking, mostly traversing, one of the best little areas in BCC is a ten minute traverse from the lift. Super simple slack country.
  2. Seriously though why would you even want to see that Place: UT Dates: Christmas to New Years Photographer: Probably accurately describes my skills Music: That Palm Pixi commercial reminded me of these guys, I still can't decide if I hate it or love it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zherMkcXdo Time to get to work The first few days nothing much fell from the sky so I've skipped those pictures, we jumped off some rocks and ate some food but that really isn't all that interesting. After thinking it may never snow the Great Salt Lake kicked in and dumped 18"+ of diamond dust. The weather was actually kind of weird for hours it would be puking so hard your tracks would fill almost immediately and then suddenly a hole would make things pretty blue bird. Then to a special little tucked away canyon were things get seriously deep Hope you had fun, see ya in the trees man.... P.S. If you ski and like deep snow buy reverse/reverse now, greatest thing that every happened to pow.

  4. Its actually happened a number of times, one dude was paralyzed after he jumped off and another dude spent the night walking around inside a gondy. The fact that this movie is being made just tells you the industry is completely devoid of any actual good ideas.
  5. And Dear Valley is the best place to ski in North America because Ski magazine said so......lulz I ski in PA alot but only because its 30mins away....I wonder if that is the same Jer....
  6. FKNA dude the Wongster! Bet the dude can still kill it.
  7. That power line has more vert than nearly all of the pa resorts, the exceptions being Blue, Blue Knob and Sno. The second picture is from near philly and that is my cousin's arm, lots of hip deep drifts in that particular area.

  9. Trying to rally the crew for a quick hitter to snowshoe where 2ft+ is on the way. Problem is we are all broke and supposed to be at a family Christmas party tonight.....I guess Grandma can't stay mad at us forever.
  10. Those dudes are crazy...... like heroin junkies but for radar and the 12z GFS runs.
  11. Hunter isn't a bad idea Seven Springs ? Are you high ? Why would someone drive 4 hours from a small shitty hill to slightly larger shitty hill. That hill is the same shitty crap we have around here just with people from Pittsburgh instead of Philly. If your going to go that way at least ride at the Knob where you stand a chance of riding something decent if it snows. If your coming from closer to Philly and can do the 95/91 route you could be at Bromley in around 4 hours and that place isn't half bad. Plattekill is your best bet though, chill laid back vibe and a better chance at good snow. From Bear Creek to Platekill is 4 hours exactly. Then again you could drive two hours and go to Elk because it just like VT only closer.....lulz
  12. I thought about it but decided I don't want to spend that much time in PA anyways. Got there late after I picked my kid up but Bear was in surprisingly nice condition....
  13. The NAM has a warm air bias that causes it to push every fucking storm too far north. I'm no weather man so hopefully I'm totally wrong but I just don't trust the NAM.
  14. Its all about the track, tomorrow morning when its butt fucking Hatteras is when we are going to know if this is a biggy (1-2ft) or just a decent little dusting.
  15. That's actually incredibly dangerous, some lifts will literally start coming apart if run in reverse for too long. Sounds like none of the breaks were functional. No E-brake

Lots of people sleep in the car, if you can go 10 days staying in a hotel every night you can go twenty if you sleep in the car. Buy a decent sleeping bag and you'll be fine. Nice to hear your getting some snow Moe.
  17. All the stuff I've seen says coastal storm that at best gives SE PA a dusting, hopefully things move a little more north and we get some real snow. Regardless Wisp or Snowshoe will be the place to be Sunday.
  18. They should be able to blow snow pretty much every night this week so we better see some other trails open. What's the deal with the Waffle hut ? The VT ones are the shit...please tell me it will be open more than just sat/sun
  19. The problem isn't necessarily with the number of people but their a-hole ratio. Hunter is the prime example of this phenomenon, 3 out of 4 people on these hills are a complete waste of life. Maybe its the cheap booze or easy access from jersey but these places are beacons for every Joey and Guido in the tri-state area. They never shut the fuck up and it always seems like there is thousands of them around every turn. Killy is a decent mountain but they need to take out the trash every once in a while.
  20. Lulz, that is crazy fucked up. What a bunch of fucking amateurs....
  21. That's probably the best line from that epic little movie Nice TR Moe How was hanging out with Nihles, that dude is crazy funny online.
  22. 62 lbs holy shit...props because that's a shit ton of weight
