Scranton update. Rain in downtown Scranton. Wintry mix at my house by Nay Aug. Snow above 81. Been seeing cars with significant snow on them (coming down from 307/380).

Never skiied there, but I have friends in Va. who think it's just as good as Vermont. Top of the mountain is at 5k elevation, bottom is 4k. We sure don't have mountains like that in PA!

Dude, that link was clutch. It kept on not working (duh), and I spent a good 15 minutes looking on the Citizen's Voice. I almost was going to pull the bankruptcy filing, but I was running late for a meeting so I didn't have time. This was a good joke. In other news, I am glad Sno is still open!

I was just at the Hotel Hershey the other weekend, and I think they had one of those plastic ice skating rings outside. It was pretty slick and cool. I think there were def. marks in the plastic from where people had skated.

Ummmmmmm, I booked the Town and Country, but now I am thinking about the Golden Eagle. Is one much nicer than the other? Johnny, do you know if the Golden Eagle has bfast included in April? The Town and Country usually does but not for April. Ah, lodging dilemma! BTW, bought the lift tickets online--nice find Doug! Edit: Nevermind. $15 cancellation fee so not worth rebooking.

Me and my friend are still down. We are driving up Friday afternoon, and plan to ski Sat and Sun. We are both looking forward to it. Doug, we'll def. ski with you! I think we might book the Town and Country as well. I'll keep you posted. Jeff, LAME. Omg, so lame.

Thanks, but I'm only going up for two days (and the two day ticket is less expensive than the $99) and I don't have extra room in my car or a place for you to crash. Let us know if you head up so we can meet up.

Okay, here's the deal with the sunrise service lift ticket: Sunrise service lift ticket is good for skiing until 8am. After that, you can buy a discounted lift ticket for the day, which is only $35. Two and three day multiple day lift tickets come out to $41 a day. So, if you want to ski only two days, get the two day ticket. If you want to ski three days AND go to the sunrise service, buy a two day lift ticket and then buy the discounted ticket on Sunday for $35. Hope this clears stuff up for everyone. P.S. I called and spoke directly to Stowe about this. No second hand info here!

A note on the Easter Sunrise Service from Stowe's events calendar: "April 12- Easter Sunrise Service - Mountain Gondola The Mountain Gondola will open to the public at 4:50am - 5:50am and complimentary lift tickets will be handed out to the Sunrise Service guests in the Gondola Barn. Please plan ahead and arrive early to this event. The Gondola Barn doors will close promptly at 5:50am to all public." Hmmm, so sounds like a free lift ticket if I go to church there? Pretty cool! Thanks, God!

Oh, so I was kind of waivering about Stowe, only because the job search has been ridiculous, but my friend told me that he is def. down for coming, so I am def. down. I'm looking forward to it!
